We have already eclipsed $80k per taxpayer in "covid relief" (lol) spending. There are 143M taxpayers in the US with a median income of 31k (household $68k). The median taxpayer saves ~10% of income every year, so poof, a decade gone. At least.

You're not lying OP, but some of the WFH crew are winning, a friend of mine starts at 10 to 11 AM and finishes at 2 PM, you gotta be efficient with the way you work and since he's in IT, mr Noseberg as you said don't understand a single **** of what he's saying.
No risk and pretty good money since mr Noseberg takes all the risks in case it fails, my friend likes a peaceful, no stress life.
But you're not escaping from work, best you can do is create your own business and work your own hours in something you like, you will invest a lot of energy (and stress) the first few years but it will make for a low stress life later (mayyyyyybe) OR be part of the WFH crew and do minimum effort while finessing your way to high salary OR finess the gov (the wagies really) by having some kind of disability and enjoying life but you gotta be frugal.
I'm interested in the way you make a living, with your thread, I'm supposing it's something like the last option.

So ****ing true. I get tickled pink by officecels when they cope with that kind of lingo. Some of the **** I've heard:
- "I need people who can grind here" === "I need other unfulfilled losers to sit in front of an excel spreadsheet for 12+ hours a day but need a verb to feel cool about it"
- "we are the quarterbacks of the company" === "I was never the QB in anything ever. In fact my entire life was spent on the sidelines watching the real QBs of life, but now that I have some minor degree of importance I need to relive my high school fantasies. I also have a dad bod and am out of shape"
- "so and so is an absolute rock star" === "so and so works twice as much as everyone else, sells their soul to corporate networking, life out of work involves talking about work or gossiping about coworkers, likely has no major hobbies, interests, other cash flowing investments, etc. all this to get paid maybe 10% more than their peers and promoted a year or two earlier."
- "we work hard but we also play hard" === "If doing this soul sucking job for 60 hours a week wasn't enough, we also have plenty of happy hours, work dinners, and drink in the office that you will be expected to attend - especially if you want to advance in your career. All of us were the losers in high school and college that never got a chance to party, so now is our chance to play catch up and get drunk, hit on each other, gossip about who is sleeping with who in the office, etc. all in the middle of the week. Also because of this lifestyle we all are fat, overweight, have no real hobbies or interests".
Just lol have heard and seen it all before.
