why arent there any more good horror movies?

i mean theres been a few like hereditary and shiiet recently, but seems liek the horror genre is lacking besides a handful of good ones

last 10 years has been a better time for horror than any decade outside of the 80s. mainstream horror movies usually suck now, there's a lot more independent stuff being made today that's good though
