It felt so cheap that all that fantastic buildup got insta defeated by a 360 no scope stab from a stealth assassin 16 year old girl who flew through 500 zombies without the literal Demi God knowing or sensing. A God got killed by a basic human cheap shot and it was just over. Laughable. I was legit expecting him to return next episode or something, there was no way it was over so quickly and pathetically.

Night King was a hive mind, all seeing, all sensing ancient entity who has cleared everything in his path for thousands of years. Can see into the past and future, is impenetrable, can change the weather, can summon the dead including an undead dragon and other beasts hinted in the lore, can wield a spear with such power from his arm that it causes a dragon to explode and instantly die.
He's killed by a girl giving him a sneaky sneak hoodwink poke with a dagger lol fuking get real. I bet you're one of those reddit nerds who jumped off your chair and cheered when it happened.

WhoreMAXXIng is degrading to your own human dignity. People who are concerned about how it affects the perception of women who sell sex should equally look to how it affects the mentality/mindset of people who purchase sex.
It's irrelevant what GRRM's personal convictions are.

Antidepressants and ADD pills will be looked back on in 50 years like electroshock therapy and lobotomies are today. Psychiatry is a lot more of a quack field than people want to admit; some of them put on white coats and they all like to call themselves doctor, but it's a lot more nebulous of a field than their pretensions to hard science would have you think. They don't even really understand half the diseases they're trying to fukking treat.
Birth rates falling in the West are a great thing and caused by a lack of demand for humans.
The world would be better off with at least 3 billion fewer people, and I'd really love to give it a try with 6 billion fewer.
Science is a business like any other. I have seen firsthand how you can bullchit a lot of papers one way or the other depending on what results you are looking for. "But peer review will catch it" - brah, look up the replication crisis. No one peer reviews chit. The author can get a way with a LOT if he knows how to omit, cherry-pick, or disguise it well, and no one will check his work beyond an editorial review of his final paper.
American postwar prosperity was a blip in human history that was destined to regress towards the norm regardless of who was in power. We're feeling the backslide now with stagnant wages, rising rents, etc, but it's not because of Clinton or Reagan or Obama or who tf ever. As soon as the world got back on its feet, they were coming for our slice of the pie, and you can't keep the entire planet down forever.
People are generally bad at solving two types of problems: "tragedy of the commons", where they have to put aside their self interest for some nebulous future goal, and frog-boils, where the problem starts off slow and subtle and then starts ramping up exponentially (people in general are really bad at dealing with exponentials). Global warming and automation fit BOTH categories, and we aren't going to fix either until a lot of damage is already done.

The Beatles were the Backstreet Boys of their time. Look a footage of their concerts - nothing but screaming teenage girls.
Gay people shouldn't be discriminated against, but neither should they be "celebrated" or encouraged.
The alphabet community needs to get on the same page. Gay people "this is the way God made me." Trans people: "God screwed up". Make up your fukking minds.
People who argue about Game of Thrones need to get a life.

As someone who still takes an antidepressant and has seen counselors since age 15, I couldn't agree more.

This might be the strongest opinion I hold myself, but nothing can be done about it and we're hypocrites for existing with this belief, no?

Mostly agree, even if I might have a quibble or two here and there.
It could be that in the future (presuming we progress instead of regress) all current medicine will seem a bit barbaric. But psychiatry is definitely more of a hot mess than the rest of it.
And it isn't even completely the fault of the practitioners.

Death penalties should be carried out immediately following the verdict. You're found guilty, taken out back and shot.
Non traditional nuclear families should not be allowed to adopt children. You must have a straight mother and father.
Parents who adopt must be the same race as the child (no racist).
Torture is an effective form of interrogation.

Divorce and sexual degeneracy like general slooting behavior should be looked down upon/discouraged in society like they used to be decades ago.
Social media is complete and utter toxic garbage. Blows my mind how downright obsessed people are with that stupid bullchit.
Marriage is generally an obsolete concept in modern western society. It's unfortunate, but it's the sad reality many refuse to consider.
95%+ of TV shows and movies suck and aren't worth bothering with.

Psych stopped trying to help homosexuals and trannies because if you try too hard they will kill themselves. That's from the classic literature on the topic.

Psych stopped trying to help homosexuals and trannies because if you try too hard they will kill themselves. That's from the classic literature on the topic.

The world was perfect the way it was before humans started making societies and laws
Survival of the fittest and encouraging strength not weakness is how we should live. It's also more merciful of the weak (the weak simply die instead of prolonged suffering). Our laws were made by aging people in power who wanted to protect themselves as they aged
Before laws were made, a young healthy male had complete freedom in this world
In today's time a young healthy male has less rights than: women, minorities, gays etc.
All of it is a form of evil ,because it is going against mother nature and preventing us from evolving and improving our species

Inderdasting thread. I have arguements all the time w/ the Wife about Gay ppl, that their is a malfunction w/ their brain. They are still good, decent humans, but its not 100% OK . it is a disorder of the brain to not like the other sex.
more opinions:
1. Game of T. is just boring. Season 1- whatever. I don't care about the characters. If i want to see teddies, there is better stuff on the internet with a 30 sec search
2. NCAA basketball is better than NBA
3. Teachers actually get paid PLENTY ( i make 60k a year and work 187 days )
4. Europe is overrated. Country side is great, you can keep ur dirty cities. Barcelona was pretty bad ass though
