You can't really appreciate coffee until after you're 40

At its best and most purposeful, coffee is for contemplative moments for people who are older and wiser and for those who are in a relationship and have morning coffee together. Coffee is not what Starbucks pretends to be. That is not how coffee should be consumed. If you start drinking coffee in your 20's or 30's, what do you have to look forward to when you're in your 40's and 50's? As it pertains to Americans, specifically, we have completely bastardized this important beverage with our debauched lifestyles. For crying out loud, I see soccer moms dragging their wee tots into coffee shops 'to play' with the other heathens brought in by the other Karen housewives--a complete breach of coffee shop ethics. Having a coffee the right way is not unlike having a fine cigar or cognac or scotch. I only started drinking coffee after I turned 40 and I understand its purpose. It didn't serve me to start drinking it 10 years earlier.
