Heavy metal toxicity? Anyone ever look into this? (srs)

In trying to solve my weird health problem.. im researching everything.

I have been getting weird symptoms lately like dizziness, forehead numbness and trouble focusing.. basic blood test, ct scan, ekg, covid test was all “fine”.

but i didnt test heavy metals.

apparently whey protein can contain a lot of heavy metals and ive been having many scoops a day for many years. Also drinking mainly tap water for the past few years.
Apparently rice is high in arsenic too and I have that daily. I dont rinse my rice but i should.
What do you guys think?

thought I was getting better but then started feeling off again the past few hrs.

Just looked up this:

In more severe cases of chronic heavy metal poisoning, you may experience symptoms including:

burning and tingling sensations
chronic infections
brain fog
visual disturbances
insomnia
paralysis

exactly me.
how do you rid your system of them?

First thing I would do is take an anxiolytic and see if the problem goes away OP, srs.

If an anxiolytic fixes it, it's mental and you can relax.

You can just about put yourself in a coma by fixating on perceived health problems.

what is your diet like?
do you use whey? drink tap water? a lot of fish? rice?

I donno if id trust certain things like that but i will try sweating a lot. drinking distilled water or filtered only, rinsing my rice before throwing into rice cooker and things like green tea, lemon, blueberries and certain herbs also help remove apparently but this is scary. Doctors are clueless so I have to do my own research.

I also worked security at a chemical plant for the past few years if that has anything to do with it. Though, its not inside the plant but a bit outside.

Anyone else read the thread title and thought for a brief second that it was something along the lines of "Heavy metal promotes violence and a toxic environment"?

could be an std from all those Tinder hoes (srs). Get a comprehensive STD panel. If you just ask for an std test they only look for basic stuff.

I used to eat a can of tuna every day along with tap water, whey etc.
I’d say my diet is 50% clean 50% dirty. It’d be almost impossible to avoid heavy metals unless you’re eating 100% organic unprocessed foods

I’ve also read amalgam fillings contain mercury. Even though it’s not a high amount, I don’t like the thought of having mercury inside my mouth 24/7.

I believe saunas and certain supplements can also help remove heavy metals but it’s worth getting tested first.

Doctors typically use EDTA IVs to remove heavy metals. Around 100,000 Americans receive EDTA treatment a year from what I've read.

Another helpful way to remove heavy metals from the body is sunbathing. From what I've read UV light can help the body to remove toxic heavy metals. It is how the coal mine working Russians used to/possibly still do.

I thought this a good book on chelation therapy, the use of EDTA to remove heavy metals.

The Chelation Revolution: Breakthrough Detox Therapy, with a Foreword by Tammy Born Huizenga, D.O., Founder of the Born Clinic

https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the...=9781630061180

The Medical Breakthrough of Chelation Therapy: A treatment that uses medicine to remove toxic metals from the body so they don't make you sick.
Chelation has long been approved by the FDA to rid the body of lead by using a synthetic amino acid (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid), which binds to toxic metals and minerals in the bloodstream, allowing a patient to excrete them. When metals like lead, mercury, iron, and arsenic build up in your body, they can be toxic.
Alternative medical practitioners have used chelation for nearly 60 years, especially to treat heavy metal contamination that causes or contributes to heart disease. Chelation rids the body of deposits that can lead to atherosclerosis, which causes coronary arteries to narrow, leading to heart attacks. Patients have also found relief through chelation for improving the symptoms of autism. One of the most promising areas of research is in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Because the buildup of metals like copper, iron, and zinc are thought to play a role in Alzheimer's disease, Chelation Therapy might have a place in treating it.
Full of hope-inspiring case histories, expert findings and where to find treatment, The Chelation Revolution: Breakthrough Detox Therapy shows how Chelation Therapy can alleviate suffering in numerous medical conditions and lead to a healthier, happier, and longer life.
Includes a Foreword by Tammy Born Huizenga, D.O., owner of the internationally recognized Born Clinic in Grand Rapids, MI, an internationally respected organization in preventive medicine with a speciality in Chelation Therapy.

Join the Andy Cutler Chelation ******** group and follow the advice from there. It is basically chelation using oral meds that you can buy over the counter on a 3 day on 4 day off cycle. DMSA + ALA or DMPS + ALA. This is probably the most popular way to remove heavy metals, but remember, it doesn't remove aluminum. You need silica water for that.

honestly think I have found something..

so Ive been taking zinc for years.. 50mg (with no copper)

but the past while been taking 30mg tabs (with 300mcg which is only 0.3 copper when doctors recommend 2mg)

the problem is.. that **** isnt that well studied long term..

so it depletes copper and causes symptoms such as low white blood cells (im borderline below the limit)
and a ton of symptoms like:

The researchers found problems typically associated with zinc-induced copper deficiency: anemia, neutropenia (low white cell count) and/or neurological symptoms developed in 13 patients.

Example problems included neuropathy (peripheral nerve pain), paraesthesia (tingling in the fingers), ataxia (difficulties with balance and coordination) and leg nerve pain.

the fukn nerve pain.. I knew this wasnt a normal sickness.. and it may be self induced.

need to get zinc/ copper levels tested. probably more urgently than other heavy metals.

I hope this is the problem and hope its reversable..

There's no way you got heavy metal poisoning from whey. Maybe from years or eating fish. Or if you were exposed to a flourescent light that broke (they contain mercury gas, which you absorb a huge amount via lungs). Older folks sometimes got 50% mercury silver amalgm fillings, but they stopped that for the most part in the 90s. Lead is also another concern. Have you ever touched the posts on a car battery or handled something lead? Lead can be absorbed easily through the skin. Also people get lead poisoning from making their own fishing weights or bullets. Lead fumes are very well absorbed by the lungs.

Andy was a well meaning but misguided doc. Taking ALA as often as he did, he chelated all the important minerals from his body. Died of a heart attack a couple of years ago.

I had high heavy metals. Had the symptoms so I decided to take a test. Urine test (which is the best way to determine long term levels) showed I had 8.2ug/dl (I think those were the units) of mercury. Looked into it, and a study said that I had higher urine levels than all but 2 out of 2100 people with mercury fillings tested in canada (so I was like wtf???) I did ALA and DMPS on and off for a year then retested with Quicksilver scientifics tri mercury test, which was like $300, and it showed I had pretty much 0 levels. Which could mean I was done chelating or ran into resistance with phase 1/2 detox.

Andy's advice is very dated. If you think you have heavy metal poisoning, look into Chris Shade's talks on youtube where he talks about the glutathione system and the 3 phases of detox

But unless you have some way you think you got exposed (and not just from being around chemicals), I would look elsewhere. TBH I would be more worried about the driver mutations of cancer. Loss of p53 function is the #1 problem leading to cancer. Vitamin C and Zinc can restore non functioning p53, I'd start there.

Fear mongering. Whey, at least in the US, is well regulated. I bought a 44lb bag recently and it has a MSDS with it showing all the trace contaminants and there's not any. Whey comes from bulk dairy processing plants, where the milk trucks that pick up from the farms dump their milk. There's one about 20 minutes from me. My best friend growing up, his father worked there. The amount of attention they pay to cleanliness is insane. They test every load from the farms that comes in. If a farmer contaminates a load and that gets put into the silo... they dump the entire silo and that farmer has to pay for it.

Whey is very safe.

err not a MSDS but a lab results sheet
