The more people that are infected, the greater chance we see immune evasion variants that are going to set us back. This virus is not going away, but the pandemic will. Minimizing total infections for just a little longer while we employ mass vaccinations is the fastest route to normalcy. We can literally be back to 2019 normalcy in 3 months if everyone would do their part.
