No, it is 100x easier to Point and click from a safe distance like in a video game than going up close to someone, risk them overpowering you, then being arrested and put in prison for years, or actually feeling your knife go into somebody from super close distance and it not being an instant kill, getting blood all over you etc. While there is readily available guns, this will continue to happen, simple.
