Getting a bit too conspiracy theorist now.
Everyone in any sort of superior role has power over you and probably has a personal agenda... managers, teachers, doctors, government.... hell even your own parents.
If you are trying to avoid people abusing their positions and pushing their agendas then you better be miscing off the grid.

Because "mentally ill" is an arbitrary slippery slope. What if I live with someone who is "mentally ill?" Does that mean I can't buy a gun? Does it mean I just have to keep it securely locked up, and if so, who is going to come into my house and make sure they're locked up? You may think it's an easy answer, but it isn't.

Guns are not acts of nature. They require people making decisions to use them. Not the same thing at all.

It’s not so complex, just stop people from purchasing a gun if they are crazy. It’s just a risk reduction measure. Same as not letting minors drink or not letting blind people drive. It won’t stop all of them from circumventing the law but will reduce the risk somewhat.

Couldn’t care less what’s going on in someone else’s home as long as there is one responsible adult in control. If the responsible person wants to leave his gun easily accessible to the non-responsible persons of the house... then that’s on him.

Fact - if you take black men from ages 15 to 35 out of the equation, the gun violence numbers for the US are similar to the European countries people sre trying to emulate.

Of course, at the root of it race (meaning skin color, DNA) isnt the delineating factor. Culture is. The group I mentioned above, who are 3.5% of the population yet account for something like 55% of the violent crime, overwhelmingly choose to practice " nig-ga dis nig-ga dat" culture, which is backwards, violent, and self-destructive.

What politician or national pundit haa the nutsack to stand up on national TV and say that?

None of them. So no, it isnt going to be resolved.
Yep. Don’t hear about black in the pre 1960s behaving like this. Thug culture and great society welfare programs really fuked them. Media and gov has blood on its hands

This can’t be abused by the state and liberals at all.

BRB you don’t agree that homos are the best thing ever... you’re obviously mentally ill

Im comparing minority groups in America being force to live under the boot of "systemic racism" in order to see if crime rates amongst those groups are completely social/economic related or something else? It actually makes more sense to compare minority groups to one another instead of comparing one minority group to the majority of the population, whom Im told have an inherent advantage, thus skewing the results.

Ps, why would I care about crime rates in those nations??

Gun violence is largely confined to major Democrat run cities. Big problems there often brought up are a lack of fathers for black and latino children, helping to guide then and keep the kids out of gangs. I imagine lousy inner city public schools that don't teach much do not help matters. If you did not learn much in school your employment options are limited.

Walter Williams has written on this issue. One example ~

"Walter E. Williams: Enough's enough with gun violence in Chicago"

https://archive.triblive.com/opinion...ce-in-chicago/

excerpt:

.....How helpful to these desperate black communities are the efforts of so many black politicians to focus on allegations about President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia? The leader of the movement to impeach Trump is Rep. Maxine Waters. Her congressional district suffers from high crime rates and failing schools. She, like most other black politicians, claims that she is helping her constituency by doing all she can to fight to get more taxpayer money to her district.

More money from taxpayers could not fix the problems of these communities. Over the past 50 years, more than $16 trillion has been spent on poverty programs. The majority of those programs have simply made poverty more comfortable by giving poor people more food, health care, housing, etc. What’s needed most is to get poor people to change their behavior. Chief among the modifications is reducing female-headed households. Female-headed households produce most of our prison inmates, the highest crime rates and disproportionate numbers of high school dropouts and suicides. These devastating factors are far beyond the capacity of Washington to fix.

The only people who can fix these problems are black people themselves. Black athletes could be far more productive by going to schools and community centers to encourage constructive behavior and shaming self-destructive behavior. Support should be given to police to stop criminals from preying on communities. Nongovernmental local groups should be encouraged to play greater roles.

It’s a challenge, but keep in mind that black people had the intestinal fortitude to lead the world’s greatest civil rights movement through some very dark days from 1865 to 1965. I believe that we’re up to the challenge.

If we wait for Washington to solve our problems, we’ll be waiting for a long time.

Imbecile.
In Japan there is no such thing as freedom of speech, or right to lawful searches and seizures. It's easy to control the populace when cops can beat the shyt out of you, enter your home without a warrant, and do whatever they want You're a dumb ass.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Asians typically come here with nothing. The 1st generation husband and wife live in a ratty studio apartment while they work 3 jobs to establish thrmselves. By the time they have kids or the kids are 5 or so they have upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt and invested in their own little store. By the time the kids are in HS they have upgraded to a little house. In the meantime, the kids spent their free time working at their parents business and doing homework. A few years later, those kids are graduating college as doctors or engineers.

Within a generation they go from abject poverty to success in a wHiTe sUprEmaCisT sOciEtY.

Black Americans have been free to do the same for generations.

What is the difference, by and large?

Why are black Americans in perpetual poverty while Asian immigrants arent? Guess who else doesnt suffer the same issues that native blacks suffer? Black immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean. The difference isnt race. So what is it? Its culture, *******.

They already attempt that with the forms you fill out, but it is obviously a self report.

But you bring a better question - we've had guns for as long as this country existed. And 40 years ago you could go to Sears and buy a semi auto rifle without even having to show an ID. Heck, you could order a fully automatic from a catalog with a check and have it delivered to your door.

But we didn't have the number of shootings we see today. But we also had mentally ill people at that time - but we treated them differently. I think we need to reexamine the option of institutionalizing people. Not like the old days, but today we should have the ability to create an environment that they can thrive in instead of medicating them and putting them out into the world.
