I'll be 38 this year, thin bones, narrow shoulders, and I'd look like an obese yet emaciated person if I didn't lift. Yeah I'd say at this point the goal is just aesthetics.

I'll consider this once my bench plateaus or might just start mixing it in some days. My short term goal was to get back to 3 wheels again on bench, but this time while being lean. Likely that's next winter though since I can already feel the bench going down on this small cut. FML.

For Legs, I have just been doing bulgarian split squats followed by high bar back squats in the 8-10 rep range. It's working well.

btw LOL @ Skinny men who don't lift. Literally dropping yourself down 5 points. I used to have skinny arms/legs and a big fat stomach. Worst look of all time. I can't imagine how bad it would look at this age.

Any advice for exercising calves in home gym?

Decent seated calf machine is over $400. Not against it, but want to explore other options before committing to that.

This looks legit

Seated calf raises mainly targets the soleus muscle.
The one that lays underneath the gastrocnemius.
You can see it if you look at your calves outer side.

She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

So I need to do both? I've never worked out my calves. I bought into the dogma that all you needed was to squat. What a crock of ****ing **** LOL.

Similar to the Abs dogma; for training your abs all you need to do are squats and DLs..

Yeah OK!

To acquire those full diamond shaped Moo Babies I do both.

My Moo Babies routine;
Standing Calf raise
Hack Squat Machine Calf Raises
Calf Extensions I use the leg press for this.
Seated Calf.

Standing calf Raise
Calf Extensions
Donkey calf raises no need to have weight on your back.

Bending the knee as in seated calf activates the soleus.

Keeping the knees straight almost straight focuses on the gastrocnemius

I'm a minimalist with working out now, so I will try just this to start.

cant imagine how taking 45 minutes to go to the gym could make someone a bad dad. plus theres a lot of stuff a guy can do from home.

hits me in the feels cuz my one friend got so beta after he had a kid. i guess good for him, he'd rather be with his family 24/7 than do anything. i dont know that feel.

I do hit the gym as hard as I can, I just don't spend more than 1 hour. Not adding multiple exercises for each bodypart and all that. I have tons of other priorities too.

Has nothing to do with being a good/bad Dad. Of course you can do things for yourself. Having a kid just makes you mentally/physically exhausted at times. Only people with kids understand that.

The % of my peers that have kids and stay in shape is literally 0% except my wife and myself. ZERO people we know stay in good shape.
