So the good news is that all women are absolutely not going along with it, I promise. But many are, and that's frustrating.

As to why? Some of it is socialization. I was raised to always put the feelings and comfort of others before my own, literally told to "stay sweet,"especiallywhen it comes to men. I also think a lot of these women grew up relatively privileged, in the sense that being a female never had any serious negative repercussions in their life. They are completely out of touch with the realities of most women on this planet. For many women, they think that if they are subservient enough, they will be an exception and won't be treated the same way as the rest of us are. And they are wrong, because eventually they will, either when it touches them directly or when the cognitive dissonance becomes too big to ignore. I don't know how women can advocate for their sex-based rights and turn around and say woman = putting on a dress, or whatever the fuk "feeling" like a woman is.

Others really haven't thought about it and I think that's probably more common. I was previously completely on board with "being nice" and supporting trans people's identity. I just didn't realize what doing it entailed and how much I was contributing to destroying women's sex-based rights. I even remember a thread where I was friendly chatting with another user, Griggz, and was genuinely confused why he couldn't just refer to trans identifying males as women if that was their request. A couple of events "peaked" me, but I finally understood some of the gender identity madness after listening to Kara Dansky talk about why the language we use matters. This is a bit of a read, but it's worth it, and I think if more women really had to think about "What is a woman?" they might change their minds.
