FedEx beat earnings. Looks like I'm going to lose my 100 shares since I sold a call against them. Wil be nice to free up that $27k of capital though.
This is more of a correction in tech rather than the whole market. Industrials killing it lately.

If stonk prices soar with crude prices at that time, because of a short-term fluctuation instead of a long-term trend, it might be another solid selling opportunity. I'm only really interested in selling if something extraordinary happens, like a short squeeze or a mania, but it's fun to watch the markets and reactions to the markets

OPEC has said that they expect oil demand to plateau in 2030 and they also expect alternative energy to explode by then in developed($$$) countries.
It seems to me that OPEC will maintain oil near $60/barrel and as the world opens and demand ramps up, I expect them to further cut off supply further raising prices. I conservatively think oil goes to >$75/barrel this year but I'm probably not as knowledgeable as you. What do you expect the price per barrel to be?

EIA expects crude oil prices to rise through April because of lower OPEC production
In its March Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO),the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects Brent crude oil prices will average $64 per barrel (b) in the second quarter of 2021 and then fall to less than $60/b through the end of 2022.Higher crude oil prices in March and April are primarily a result of lower crude oil production from members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and partner countries (OPEC+), as announced at their March 4 meeting.
In February 2021, OPEC+ cuts, combined with supply disruptions in the United States, contributed to monthly global petroleum inventory withdrawals that EIA estimates totaled 3.7 million b/d, the largest monthly withdrawal since December 2002.The Brent crude oil futures price averaged $63/b in early March leading up to the OPEC+ meeting, and the OPEC+ announcement put further upward pressure on crude oil prices.
The front-month Brent futures price briefly surpassed $70/b in intraday trading in the days following the announcement, not only because of the announcement but also because of an attack on the Ras Tanura oil facilities in Saudi Arabia on March 7.As a result of the extension of OPEC+ production cuts, EIA expects draws on global petroleum and other liquids inventories of 1.8 million b/d and 0.6 million b/d in the first and second quarters of 2021, respectively.
The sustained OPEC+ production curtailment through April suggests that supply will remain constrained in the near term, even as demand continues to increase. As a result, EIA expects that further inventory withdrawals to meet rising crude oil demand will keep crude oil prices elevated through at least the end of April.EIAβs forecast of downward oil price pressure and increased crude oil availability has several key uncertainties.
The speed of actual demand recovery, based on COVID-19 vaccination rates and the degree to which travel and employment conditions return to pre-COVID norms, remains an important uncertainty on the demand side.At the same time, the degree to which OPEC+ production cuts will continue after April remains a source of uncertainty on the supply side, especially because increasing crude oil prices will encourage OPEC+ participants to agree to production increases in later meetings or to relax compliance with the existing agreement. Finally, the responsiveness of U.S. tight oil production to higher oil prices is also uncertain.

However, there is some severe damage to the economy that isn't being addressed. Once the gubment subsidies stop the rot will start to show.

News outlets in general are putting the focus on the bear cases because those are the headlines that grab attention and satisfy people's need for apparent progress towards decarbonization. Unfortunately the more we convince people that fossil fuels are on their way out, the less real progress there will be -- I'm starting to think some of the oil majors are playing 4D chess by pushing this same narrative.
It's tough to predict price movements, there are so many variables. I've been buying companies that can continue producing O&G and free cash flow at more conservative prices, anything above that is just gravy. But OPEC has achieved what they wanted -- the end of US Shale's "drill baby, drill" period -- so they'll be looking to now keep prices in a sweet spot where US shale production doesn't spike hard and their member countries are making enough on their barrels. I'd say that's around $60, and we might see some spikes above that but I'd expect them to be temporary. If prices dropped closer to $50, I wouldn't be surprised at all if OPEC instated more voluntary cuts.

I've decided I'm not buying anything tomorrow, price be damned.
Not because of QWD but because people are sad as fuk right now.
If the market happens to go green tomorrow, I think it will only be a temporary event. High margin investors are going to be worried and as soon as they turn green, I think they trim the market red. I'm going to look to allocate more cash and buy more next week.

Anybody eyeing NNOX? According to the CEO in a recent meeting, any day now they'll have an FDA decision on their new scanner/software and that will give them the green light to deploy a shiet ton of their machines to 13 different countries. He said once they deploy they'll be seeing a massive ROI in less than a year. Also added to ARK's Israel index ETF?
