What makes Mumble Rap sh!tty is sheer lack of variability. And people who like it know it's true, that's why their only defense is things making fun of age for anyone who has actual standards in their music.
From what i can tell, Mumble Rap is specifically designed for rappers who are too scared to actually attempt rapping. So they adopt a really simplistic, repetitive style that requires the same rhythm over and over punctuated by weird noises (SKRRT) and treat hip hop like a big joke so they can capitalize on gullible fans who reward incompetent MCs for validating their own incompetence.

But I'll seriously listen to them if you wanna give me examples, I've got an open mind. Show me two songs from each of the better mumble rappers that showcases any sort of variability in their flow schemes. I love good hip hop, so it annoys me how smug these mumble c$nts can get when they're essentially just human memes, from what I've heard.
This song has more variety in flows than DOZENS of mumble rap songs I've heard, in ONE VERSE.

Mumble rap is carried by the strength of the sick beats which have been gracing the genre. The rhymes are the product of weak, lazy writing and everyone knows it.
inb4 "We doooo druuuuuuugs to avooooooooiiiiiiiid theeee depresssssssioonnnn"

None of the above constitutes legal advice nor should be interpreted as such.

funny thing about rap.
you can say X genre sucks and isn't real music whether it is country, rock, jazz, metal, etc and 99.9999% of the time people will just lol and disregard you, but the only people that ever get upset is rapcels, lmao really says alot.

#1 rap song today is Drake - What's Next
Here's a sample:
Compare with B.I.G. Hypnotize:
Here's a sample:
I'm makin' a change today
The liquor been takin' the pain away
I heard you was givin' your chain away
That's kinda like givin' your fame away
What's wrong with you?
I sit in a box where the owners do
A boss is a role that I've grown into
I love you to death but I told you the truth
I can't just be with you and only you
Brilliant rhyming of today with away, and then away. And then away again. And then rhyming you with do and into and truth (?) and you again. So talented. The liquor been takin' the pain away

Hah, sicker than your average
Poppa twist cabbage off instinct n- don't think sh- stink
Pink gators, my Detroit players
Timbs for my hooligans in Brooklyn (that's right)
Dead right, if the head right, Biggie there e'ry night
Poppa been smooth since days of Underroos
Never lose, never choose to, bruise crews who
Do something to us, talk go through us
Girls walk to us, wanna do us, screw us

Leave it to a mumble rap nut swinger to not know the importance of words and their meaning. You could have had a zinger of a thread, but then you went and said this dumb sh*t:
Countless bangers? No, a couple one-hit-wonders that get people hard in a club or driving in their 90's Impala on 22's.
And that's what makes them sh*t... regardless of my age. The rest of their "music" is mindless drivel.
Just google mumble rap lyrics and tell me with a serious face that sh*t is inspiring or creative.
All good, all have countless bangers.
All good? Um, nope. That's the point of this thread in the first place isn't it? Because that's debatable.Countless bangers? No, a couple one-hit-wonders that get people hard in a club or driving in their 90's Impala on 22's.

Beats and flows/melodies are better today. Lyrics were better back then. Rap is low level trash all around though.
