Most folks want to go in and throw weight around, but no one wants to study it. No one wants to learn the science or technique.

The thing with squats is it isnt like any other lifts where you can kinda just jump right in to it and not really get yourself in trouble. Squats you really need to develop some balance, flexibility, mobility, and solid technique. Most people either dont have access to someone who will really help them or are afraid to ask.

Squats are literally the king of all the exercises. Most don’t do it because it requires work and you have to do accessory exercises to keep everything healthy.

I can leg press like 5 plates on each side but can only squat 2 plates on each side.
Once my butt is deep in the hole it takes all of my leg strength to get out. Always go ass to grass. Once again once I'm ass to grass it's tough to get out, I just want to stay there.

People don’t like to squat because squatting is hard. That heavy weight is trying to crush you; it’s not like a deadlift where you’re simply picking it up or a bench where you’re lying down and holding it in your hands. That weight is pushing down on your spine trying to crush you during the entire set. Then you’re having to squat down into the most vulnerable position and use the biggest, strongest muscles in your body to push back up.
There’s a reason Dave Tate and many other powerlifters and bodybuilders preach that, if you see a guy with big legs, he’s probably not all there mentally. Good luck finding a guy putting 800+ lbs on his spine and squatting to depth who is completely mentally stable.

I squat very very rarely. Don't see the point, my legs are already at the natty limit and they're easily my most developed body parts. Do i risk injury or just stick to presses and extensions?

Enjoy having a phucked up body full of aches and pains starting from your 40s to maybe 50s if you're lucky for the rest of your life, just because you wanted to brag about your lifting numbers to a forum full of people that don't even lift.

I think most guys are lazy and make excuses to justify not squating... "I don't squat because I don't want to hurt my back." Proceeds to attempt max deadlift with absolute chit form.... Nah brah, you're just a pussy

Elite level PL and Strongmen know they’re compromising their bodies, but to them the tradeoff is worth it. But decades of natty strength training done properly is only going to improve your body.
