Who else is excited for Mass Effect remaster that hasn't played any of them yet?

Am I the only one? After hearing from so many people how great it is, I'm pretty hyped about finally playing it in May when the remaster releases. Is it as good as people say? Have $20 sitting in my Steam wallet from I don't even know what. So will only cost me $40. Hnggggg

Played about 90% of the first but never finished. Never played the others. I’m gonna pick it up.

That would be me. Haven't played any of them -> out of games to play currently -> looking for a good story-driven game

Is this how PC gamers get to enjoy any decent games? I can see the upside of playing a game a decade after release with quality of life enhancements

It's all three games individually with all the DLC's. Just sold as one big package. Unless I'm misunderstanding. lol

Not gonna lie, from the gameplay footage I've watched of the old ones, this remaster looks a hundred times better IMO. lol

Not really worried about any SJW stuff as it's just a remaster, but there definitely seems like there could be some censorship which is my main concern. It's like they got this "how dare you" puritan attitude about displaying any hints of sexual interests.

Never played. Excited to try it out, but I won't touch it until reviews come out. Already heard they are taking out the butt angles on many cutscenes and I won't support censorship, regardless of how stupid it may seem.

Sucks that we don't get the booty action, but I don't want to miss what is apparently a fantastic game series because of that alone.

Is this a legit remaster or is it like Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning which was just a half-assed re-skin of the older game?

One of the best gaming experiences I've ever had was the original mass effect back in the day.

The issue I had with the trilogy was the content "tagging in and out" of crew across the 3 games, RIP if your favourite character was Jack or someone.

Will obviously be getting this, also stoked there seems to be amass effect 4 coming, this story ain't done damn it.

IMO games that old need a full Remake. A Remaster isn't going to do enough to hide the game's age. Beyond that I have no confidence in EA to do anything well. And personally I don't like RPGs, so a hard no from me dawg.

The first game is GOAT and I played it like 10 years after it came out with a HD texture pack. Dated inventory management and gameplay but it actually felt like choices mattered.

2 was ok. The opening story was fukking retarded and I have no idea why they did that.

I didnt finish 3.

Nostalgia makes people think Mass Effect 2 was somehow the best in the series but actually it had the weakest storyline. Other than destroying up the Normandy in the Beginning you can play for a dozen hours without running into them again, semi-srs. And who was the antagonist of the 2nd game? There was no named villain..

Mass Effect 1 and 3 had more sense of urgency
