Fukking awesome drawing. At one point I started learning Latin because there were so many old untranslated books that I was interested in reading. Doing so was pretty much the equivalent of learning to play an instrument at an advanced level, so I never saw it through.

Not as much as id like. I think im above average, but I do have a desire to improve/learn so much more, but I have no energy and very little time. I suppose if it was super important to me I could give a little from some of my other goals and make time, but I just feel like I am already going 100mph


The ONLY regret i have, is that I didn't use my free time in HS and Undergrad to pursue interests and learn valuable things. I have a degree, sure and I am smart, okay, but I do feel like I missed out on great opportunities to learn more tangible skills.

Guy that wrote that was in the navy so a lot of those skills he learned while being paid to do it, which is great and all but its not as realistic if you have a day job to go learn celestial navigation in your free time after work in addition to a million other things. So he is a bit hypocritical because not everyone enjoyed that luxury, and if everyone was in the military nobody would be producers of anything and all the items and services he bought over the years wouldnt have existed because everyone would be a generalist paid by the government like him.

He also had failed marriages and promoted sexual debauchery.

Also his claim of having "designed a house" could have amounted to telling his contractor he wanted a house built with a specified list of features or design traits.


And his "plan an invasion" would have been a table top exercise that every other naval officer would have done in some school at the time.

navigating a ship while giving steering orders to your minions but also having a broad knowledge of all aspects of that ships so you know what to do if an emergency occurs. If it is a big ship, someone will always be in charge 24/7 while the other sleep ect. Not unlike someone driving your modern cruise ship or an airplane pilot.

Only real skill I have is related to my job which is very niche and otherwise useless. It also takes up more than 80 hours per week leaving little time for learning other more useful skills.
