Because status trumps money for most people.

Here I am in living in 2nd / 3rd world countries and just tell women I'm unemployed and they ghost upfront. They never question how I'm able to afford traveling, eat out at restaurants multiple times per week, etc. At least it's safer this way: I'll never be targeted by a local gangster or mafia because nothing about me screams rich.

I could tell them a variation of the truth that I'm an investor in Banking and FinTech (but do it from home) but all that accomplished for me in the past was more 30+ year old women ("I had my fun and now need a beta to pay for things"). I've seen plenty of 30+ year old women naked and that chit does nothing for me ever. Can't get a full boner for them.

He's a waiter. Probably frequent tax evasion like all tipped professions.

You honestly grow numb to it bro srs. I have a generic response for any scenario possible. It gets easy once your seasoned. Alot of people quit, but the ones that stay stay for 10 plus years. Plus, you are so busy that the 6 hours are done really fast. Walk about 4 miles per shift so constantly busy. You just kind of get in a mode when you're working, at least thats what I do and it has helped alot.

Wait isn't the average pay for you Ameribrahs something like 100k annually?

How is this a good paying job if so (or Eurobrahs largely overestimate American salary)

the average pay is 100k for a miscer bro. The average salary in the us realistically is probably 40-50k.

There are some pretty good upsides to being a waiter ngl opie, first being if you get tips in cash that’s under the table money and another is that you probably get to smash waitresses and sloot customers that come in... the downside is you won’t get any sloots for saying you work as a waiter and you have to put up with chit from some dickhead you’re serving at a table

People mix up household income as individual income. There's a lot of households with two income earners (married couple) and even some outliers are thrown in like 4 college students splitting a house.

So it actually means in places like Florida the indiviudal income is more like $25,000ish and it makes sense: Florida doesn't manufacture or making anything the world needs it's just a resort economy and resort economies pay peanuts.

Florida actually has a very good economy and is one of the best places in the US for cost of living vs pay for white collar jobs. People who hate on living in Florida either can't take the heat, are retarded or are coping hard and I don't even live in Florida lol.
