The best time to buy was in 2017 when I was making threads every time there was a sale.



If you're buying an AR, I'd recommend getting a higher end one, you probably won't be dealing with as much price inflation. (paying $1800 for an $1800 rifle is much better than paying $1200 for a $600 rifle).

I also wouldn't try to "stock up" on ammo right now. Maybe enough to do some light shooting and load out a few mags.

Depends on output. The problem right now is that small ammo factories can't make rounds because the primer manufacturers aren't producing them fast enough to overcome demand.

In other words, you could create an ammo factory, but you wouldn't be able to make finished ammo because you wouldn't be able to source primers, no matter how much other capacity you had.

I'm honestly surprised people are just now questioning this. for 40 years I never owned a gun, but last year when I saw people rioting over a career, violent, drug addict criminal , that died of an overdose, I knew it was time.

Early last year was fine. I was buying 9mm for $8-9 per 50rd box and 5.56 for $5 per 20rd box. Name brand chit too, not the random steel commie ammo that seems to be half of what is out there now.

.22 LR peasant checking in. At least I have a gun and a good amount of ammo. Not going to be getting into any firefights but it's a bit of a security blanket to know its sitting in my closet.

Mirin. 3 years ago only started working and didn’t have enough for guns nor ammo. Last year was able to build my AR and got 1500 rounds of .556. That and I got 3 guns from my department so I do get some shooting time every couple months or so.

Is there anything like an SKS but that shoots 5.56 rounds? I mean max 10 rounds with no detachable magazine which is legal for me? An SKS would be legal but I don't really want 7.62x39 for home defense.

Guns are in good supply in my town. Ammo is hit or miss. 5.56 supply has been better recently. Hopefully its improving
