Gotta agree with the home gym brahs on this one. Even though my equipment for my own home gym is pretty limited (until it becomes more available again once the covid nonsense around it slows down more), I have enough to get all the basics in. I always thought I'd feel a need for a gym membership until covid lockdowns started, but the past year has shown me the many benefits of working out at home if you have the space for even pretty basic lifting equipment.
No more wasting 30 minutes+ driving to and from the gym. No more dealing with gym showering bs. No more dealing with weird old guys in gym locker rooms. No more dealing with it being packed/people monopolizing equipment for bs exercises they aren't made for. No more dealing with weird gymcels. When lifting at home, I can spend lifting rest periods doing chores or something constructive instead of just sitting around a gym waiting to do my next set.
That's just to name a few of the many benefits. Gyms are great if you don't have the means for a home gym. However, I would take working out even with my fairly basic weight equipement at home over going to even a nice gym these days.

Home gym
TSA pre-check and Global entry
Highest quality EDC items I could find (pocket knifes, briefcase/bags, water bottle, ear buds, watches, etc.)
Wireless charging stand for phone
Good desk chair
But I think the purchase that has had the biggest positive impact on my life would be my dog.
Instant pot: $50-75. great for meal prep, rice and steamed protein for the week
Quality chef knife
These two and a SONOS Arc, sub, and one surround speakers. No more speaker wires and while the sound bar's not quite as good as my old 7.1 setup, it's pretty darn good for movies. Music is extremely enjoyable plus the SONOS interconnectivity is awesome.

Instant Pot - makes meal prep and clean up a breeze
Air pod pros - kinda had buyers remorse originally but now they're definitely one of the best purchases I've made since the beginning of 2020

Lasik ICL. Best 7k I’ve ever spent.
I was severely near sighted and never imagined being able to wake up and go.
