On a related side note, when I worked for the prison system ped@s used to come to my area for treatment. At the time I was doing drug treatment and was used to that crowd.
One day, I walked to the treatment area and there was a bunch of guys who looked like the pictures posted. They were all weird looking with strange heads, short, big eyes, and all of the stuff you see in the pictures posted here. I hate to say it, but I felt revolted by their odd looks.
So, I walked in and I said to one of the inmate secretaries, "I don't mean to sound weird, but there's a group of guys out there that gave me the creeps and I mean seriously, who are they" and the inmate said, "No, that's good instincts. Those dudes are tree jumpers (ped@s) and they're here for a special group". After that I formed the hypothesis that weird looking men are rejected from society and are more likely to be p@dos than a handsome and well built male.
We are taught not to judge people, but it's really a great idea at times, depending on the situation.
If computer nerd craziman is doing his thing making programs and so on, that's great. However if he controlling my life or the lives of kids, etc somehow, we need to wake up.

That being said, lol at how badly Reddit's admins have managed the whole situation. All companies make embarrassingly bad hires at some point or another, this should have been a "We announce that ms. Challenor is no longer affiliated with Reddit." without even the need for further explanations, the whole thing would have died down immediately.
Instead, they managed to turn this into a PR dumpster fire, pissed off their user base and even got some negative exposure in the UK press out of it...

When contacted by the moderators of r/ukpolitics, we reviewed the actions, and reversed the ban on the moderator, and we informed the r/ukpolitics moderation team that we had restored the mod.
We updated our rules to flag potential harassment for human review.
Debate and criticism have always been and always will be central to conversation on Reddit—including discussion about public figures and Reddit itself—as long as they are not used as vehicles for harassment. Mentioning a public figure’s name should not get you banned.
We care deeply for Reddit and appreciate that you do too. We understand the anger and confusion about these issues and their bigger implications. The employee is no longer with Reddit, and we’ll be evolving a number of relevant internal policies.

That's one reason I harp on about conservative's coalescing and rallying behind their own social media and news companies. There NEEDS to be competitive alternatives because legacy media is beyond saving. Ideally, Trump should make his platforms and lay low, so the left doesn't have a target to unify against. Imagine if conservative platforms get moderate liberals and groups like Weinstein's Unity movement on board. Oh lawd....
