anyone used to LOVE reading books? (srs)

now cant even be bothered. i was a bookworm in elementary school and middle school but lost interest over the years starting in high school.

i think it had to do with social media and all this instant gratification. reading a book takes time.

i've heard to set a small goal like 9 pages a day to maybe get back into reading? i used to read half a novel in one day.

Audiobooks and podcasts are better and easier IMO

the more physical the better in terms of actual learning. when i listen to an audiobook my brain generates closed captions in my head...so it's like i'm reading. and if i'm multi-tasking i can't process the audio correctly.

Same. I was always the kid who read the most books in elementary school and middle school. Basically would read a book every one or two days tops if it was something like a Harry Potter book.

Been forever since I’ve been drawn into a book.

I listen audiobooks while running or should I say that........

I run while listening audiobooks.

It's like music, when you find the right one you can run faster.

Yeah It used to be easier for me to finish books like 6 years ago. Don't know what happened maybe brain got rotted.
Audiobooks are cool though. I like the idea of getting an audiobook that's recorded by the actual author of a book.

Yeah I used to read a lot growing up. I feel like my attention span is a lot lower these days - something I need to work on.
