Why Italians the only Latinos that have a hard time accepting their African heritage?

I could see Puerto Rican’s and Dominicans accepting both African and Spanish and Native but why can’t Italians accept the fact that they are African American?

Mainland Italians are European looking. SicilianCels can be dark and mixed looking though.

North Africans arent black. They had black people as slaves. Some north Africans would be considered "quadroons" though since Arabs and Berbers frequently mixed with black female slaves.

Southern Europeans resemble more MEANA people more than they do Sub Saharan Africans. Matteo Salvini encountered a refugee from Algeria that looked like he could be his brother.

Yep. I mentioned that in my edited post. I wouldnt say middle easterns though its more likely the average North African is anywhere from 1-15% black.

Its a possiblity for a southern European to be 1-3% percent black. Due to many north Africans being mixed with it. That doesnt mean north Africans were black though.

i probably have very little Amerindian blood. would be a "white" latino and i would never call myself Spanish or European. Latin/Hispanic

It depends if the Cuban stays connected to his roots. Most Cubans in America arent 3rd generation. They havent been here that long unlike Mexicans and Puerto Ricans. Also depends on who they mix with it.

they are definitely not going to say they are Spanish. Most will say they are Cuban American or just say they are white.
