If your life hasn't been BETTER during covid you did it wrong

[x] work from home, no commute
[x] asset prices rising, net worth significantly higher than before covid
[x] continued to socialize and made new friends through mutual connections

The one group that got screwed with no recourse were small business owners but for everyone else you cucked yourself if covid has been that bad for you srs

ya pretty much. My job itself sucks more (finance brah) but generally speaking everything has been significantly better.

Yep. Got a promotion and a 12% raise last year too.

Bought a new car at 0% for 72 months
Bought a house, got 2.6% IR
Thinking about selling my Daily (2009 F-150) that I paid 7k for (bought wrecked and fixed) that I could probably get 13-15k for right now.

Agree with you bro I really capitalized , aside from the initial stock market crash ( didn't sell out and now they're back up !)

Wfh - no commute / annoying co workers ..more sleep ! Less supervision on the job..can fk around on your phone more

Honestly , feel bad for the ppl who perished but I didn't mind the pandemic 1 bit


Never felt lonely or depressed like all this other ****s did when I was on " lock down "

I have to admit it's been pretty good.

Many of the small businesses that embraced the pandemic and got creative made a killing. From chaos comes opportunity, or something like that

I got rich during the pandemic. $100k -> $5m NW

Health/fitness suffered initially though. Gyms closed and I didnt eat great. Last 3 months I've been doing paleo though and getting huge health/energy levels/facial aesthetics gains

Social life definitely suffered though. Just talking to previous friends over the internet. Looking to make some travel plans now.

Agreed. I doubled the value on a property I bought a year ago.

No driving anywhere, no wear and tear on vehicles, no gas money spent

People leaving me the fuk alone so getting some stuff done.

It's true. Combination of aggressively buying stocks + crypto dip with fiat at the very lows of the pandemic and taking on a load of other good trading opportunities along the way.

Eh I could see it being horrible for other people.

For me, I have more money than ever before

My physique is better than ever

My mental state and confidence is sky high from extreme discipline during tough times as well as lots more time for reading and learning.

Overall a shift in priorities and life view. COVID was great for me. But I understand tons of people went through horrible times so this is ignorant to say

was able to save 100K for the year
Job switched to 100 percent remote
Sold my house for top dollar and bought new construction for cheap before they raised their prices. Got a 2.5 interest rate so I have cheaper payments too
