Mufti Mohammed Amin Pandor, a local Muslim scholar, told the crowd that the teacher had been suspended, but the school has not confirmed this - and police began threatening protesters with Covid fines after midday. Mr Pandor is an interesting character upon doing some research. He finds many things in this country haram. Mr Pandor described his family coming to the village and the “white flight” that ensued. University of Bradford lecturer Philip Lewis described the town as “a Deobandi village”.

not really sure what the overall end goal was here or what that teacher was trying to accomplish lol. i mean yeah he has a right to do so but what did he think would happen here and was this some attempt to be edgy? don't really agree with cancel culture but people can protest, for example if you disagree with critical race theory being taught in schools ... in fact people should protest that chit like the muslims did here but you probably won't see that, which is why they are slowly winning that war. if uk wants to dig its own grave then so be it. seems like they already have.

- School is forced to close AGAIN as dozens of protesters picket gates for a second day

- The teacher - who is in his late 20s and is a 'burly Yorkshire lad' lives a short distance from his Batley school with his partner. He is now under police protection following death threats

- The teacher has been suspended from his job and the headteacher issued a humbling apology to parents at the state school, where almost three-quarters of pupils are from minority ethnic groups. The parents and pupils are still fuming despite action being taken




Commenting on the situation, a woman in her 30s with a child at the school said: 'We are continuing to wait outside the school to try and speak to the headteacher, we want to hear what he has to say.

'He needs to come out, explain what happened, apologise for it and tell us how he will make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

'We feel like he's hiding away and that's not good enough, he needs to show his face. A lot of us have questions for him about how this ever happened in the first place, something clearly went very wrong.

'This image is so offensive to us and, in my opinion, there is no way it could have been part of the curriculum. What happened is very dangerous and we need answers.'

One is rational one isn't. No teacher is going to drop N bombs and at worst it would be a history lesson that might touch on racial slurs but if they really wanted students to know they could easily warn them. Other students have the right to an open education and a teacher should have to worry about getting their head sliced by a teen if one day a book has a small 5cm picture of something that might offend a region.

You want more? How about a teacher pronouncing perfectly a Mandarin word used for stalling that sounds like "N*gg*r?". That's right, all he did was use a legitimately word in a language class and some fake-offended fukhead runs off and gets him fired. At least he wasn't murdered, I guess he should be grateful! lol

If you go to a public school as well you have to be accepting that it should be a general broad teaching not customized for your radical or irrational beliefs. That's not that countries culture, and no-one has a right to tell them to change. It would never happen the other way around, why is it always a one-way street?

Exactly. The teacher has been suspended (and will likely lose his job), the school have apologised and they have also promised to review the curriculum. I don't understand what more this woman wants? Sounds like a threat to me. The teacher is already hiding at home under police protection because of these loons threatening to kill him.
