definitely don't miss hauling out an old 600lb water heater (because it wouldn't drain due to sentiment build up) down some liberals inner city apartments narrow stairs while they watch to see if you hit and barely scrap a wall

that being said there's no escaping hard work, but phuck doing that stuff and making the average tradey salary (44k)

Every time this thread pops up apparently every single officecels all make six figures (for only answering 3 emails a day apparently) which is a statistical anomaly considering the average pay for an officecel is like 35k lol

I dunno it’s all cope

The tradies claim their job is so awesome being outdoors or working with their hands

The officecels claim a higher salary and greater comfort

Reality is there’s great jobs and crappy jobs on both sides

It just depends on where you are, here are certain areas where the pay is exponentially higher like where I'm at unless you're bottom tier like a painter or concrete cuck or something. I was a logistics supervisor for HP and it was tons of responsibility, emails at any hour, high stress and peanut pay for what was put in. I've done wagie office drone chit and transitioned

Its oranges to apples. Officels aren't built for what I do, thick skin, hard but rewarding work, (how many officels take constant photos of their hard work?) Lots of OT, yelling, and a constantly changing environment And vice versa I'm not good with bitchy customers, nagging bosses, passive aggressive coworkers and paperwork. The payoff is a quiet environment, AC, being clean when you get home, more downtime yada yada yada

Yeah also I spent 20 years in an office

Used all the downtime to get 3 undergrad 2 grad and 1 postgrad degree plus 2 professional qualifications

Probably couldn’t do that hauling around a job site or some blue collar job

Also probably would have killed myself turning up to work hungover or worse and making a costly mistake

But who knows if I had gone into construction I would probably be retired with millions in then bank

Lol you just weren’t good at your job. I own my own plumbing shop (just me and a helper) and we made just over 180k last year. First 9 months in business.

Of course if it was easy everyone would be doing it and I wouldn’t be able to make a living.

Sometimes I think about driving around my own HVAC truck. Imagine pulling up to a wagecel slave's house while he's making some smarmy "lol @ rentcels" thread on misc and hitting him with a $20k bill for 8 hours worth of work fuarrrrrrk. $15k of that is straight profit, too. CEO $15k/day doing nothing but driving around town, sticking it to wagecels lol.

Sometimes. I think it's pretty sad how incapable I am at doing some basic repair work. Anyone who has even attempted to build something/fix something with their hands knows it is really gratifying when you succeed. Intrinsic man trait that a lot of low test deskmonkeys don't get to experience very often.
