Never understood people who gamble with their money on things like slots, cards, horse racing/dogs, sports, lotto etc.

Teams of people who study statistics for a living make the odds so they win and you loose and in the case of slots it's rigged to the house.

People play slots and video poker for the enjoyment of it. Sounds stupid but they do it because they don't give a fukc about money, not that they are really trying to win big. At least that's what I've heard from some types of people who do that ****. Most people I know who play the lottery only buy 1 ticket. You would think if they really wanted to win they would buy several, but they only buy one. I think it's just some odd mentality they have.

My favorite are the sports gambling degenerates that think they are up long term, and always talk about the big hit they had every month while not mentioning losses at all. Srs every friend group has one of these guys who acts like a gambling pro

I sport bet all the time ( small amounts)

But at the same time I have no problem sitting down watching a game with no money on it no problem

Things like lotto, slots, card games like blackjack, roulette, etc., sure I would agree. It's statistically impossible to be up long term.

Sports betting, poker (against real players), and things like that, you just have to be better than your competitors. Skill and knowledge can give you a profitable edge.

I went to a casino for fun the other day and played Roulette making some nice cash (little over half a grand), but they stopped me to get my info for tax purposes. Got scammed too because they taxed me on the total amount, not just the profit. Still have a net profit from it at the end of the day though, but to get taxed on top of having unfavorable odds is dumb lol.

After experiencing the above I'm never going again lol. Screw taxes.
