Would love to see the fitness level of the respondents of the survey lol

Some article highlights:
-Nearly 75% of singles shared that they are a fan of the "dad bod," meaning they like a figure that isn't super chiseled.
-Even though dad bods were a highly ranked preference, more than 20% of those surveyed also shared that body type doesn't matter when it comes to finding a partner. They prefer to focus on personality over looks.
-Only 15% of Dating.com members shared that they prefer a Barbie or Ken-like body type when it comes to a person of their desired gender.
-Out of those surveyed who believe they have a dad bod, 45% of them shared that they like to put #dadbod it in their bios because they are proud of their physiques.
-More than 70% of singles reported that they have started working out / going to the gym more in the last couple of months to get in shape before Summer.
-38% of Dating.com members shared they joined a gym with the hope of getting fit before bathing suit season but have yet to workout.

Dad bod does not necessarily mean fat.

In any case, one issue is many lose a lot of facial aesthetics when they put on weight. I get quite a bit of cheek/chin puff and it really drags me down a bit at too high a %

Maybe 28+ year old women with no glow, sagging tits, sagging ass and a waist of 39" might be into Dad Bods. 39" BTW was the pre-pandemic waistline so it could be 41" now.

These studies are always cringeworthy. Its obvious that women attempt to inflate their sense of worth and security by putting down women more attractive than them, putting down men they are attracted to but subconsciously are worried about not winning their approval, and putting on a pedestal women who are less conventionally attractive (fat women especially)

What women say =/= what women think

Anyone who's ever been out of shape vs. in shape (especially a physique like being 225 lbs @ 8% BF) knows with 100% certainty what women like... the women that write studies like this studied some useless degree and are obviously coping
