I wasn't born with confidence, but it took me many years to develop it. Just knowing more about how the world works, my strengths, how to react to negativity (negative thoughts) etc. However, I have maintain myself and my life or this 'confidence' goes down.

I used to have zero self esteem but seemed like a normal person on the outside. But through sports and lifting I get physically and mentally stronger. Because I always did my own thing, it attracted a lot of people towards me that wanted to be a part of what I was doing. So over time I became very confident and had high self esteem because I realized you'll always have naysayers or people that don't like you, but you'll also have people that enjoy who you are for being yourself and will back you. Really it is just being honest with myself and my faults, not hiding anything, and just being me. I used to kind of try to mold myself to others or groups to fit in, but realized that's just a dead end.

So basically time and being myself.

Power, control, high morality

Without a great deal of honesty, especially being honest with myself, there is no true self confidence. This process can be painful. A mountain doesn't rest upon sand, it rests upon stone

The dude that said going through hard times is right. Overcoming real adversity and the accomplishment of getting back on your feet is the ultimate confidence builder. Being a giant helps a lot too.

Wanna hear my secret? I occasionally win arguments with morons on the internet. notsrs

I just believe in myself and everything mostly works out ok. If it doesn't, that's no sweat -- everything in the attempt.
