Anyone else think sports kind of suck these days?

Just cant get into it like I used to. Growing up I lived and breathed sports. Was my everything. Now its just meh

NBA: Woke AF. Marxist NBA of China. Kneeling. No defense allowed. All teams play the exact same way with just spamming 3's. What happened to those slow plodding defense of the Grizzlies, The suns being a run and gun, Spurs all fundamentals, Hardcore D and true team work of the pistons, etc. All stars just want to team up with each other. Small market teams don't have a chance. Games being 140-135 in regulation is dumb. You pretty much know who will be in the finals before the season even starts. Players treat the regular season like a joke. DNP Resting. All players are buddy buddy. No rivalries

NFL: Woke. Kneeling. No defense allowed. Cant touch the quarterback. 4000 yard passing seasons mean nothing. Every QB completing over 62% of the passes. A 95 Qb rating is now average at best when that used to lead the league. Wide Receivers catching 100 passes like its nothing. All career bulk receiving stats are going to be filled with average players who played in this era. Meanwhile cant even get like ten 1000 yard rushers in a season. All this will be even worse when we go to 17 games. Stars demanding trades every day. Expanding the playoffs letting crap teams like the Bears in.

MLB: No bunts, no steals, no sac plays, etc. Only 3 outcomes: Strikeout, walk, Home run. Soon they will add the DH to the NL ruining the fun of pitchers batting. Pitchers go 5 innings and call it a day. Players aren't allowed to have a personality and must follow the dumb unwritten rules.

NCAAF: Woke. We finally get the playoff and its just the same 4 teams every year. Instead of giving the little guy a chance it actually took it away. Spread offenses are like video game offenses on rookie mode. A low scoring game is now 40-20. No defense allowed.

I used to play basketball with NBA players and yeah i haven't watched or played since 2014-2015

I just lost all interest in it

Love the cinematic UFC fights like Warrior or kingdom. Cant really get into real ones where they are feeling each other out, spamming leg kicks, and rolling around hugging each other. Maybe cuz I dont know the strategy or what they are doing when they are rolling around. I still watch the big cards with the boys tho

Same with OP. I used to live and breath NBA and MLB. Now every week or so I'll check stats and standings just to see how things are going.

Honestly the only professional sport I'm really into right now is golf. Srs. I love watching the PGA tour every weekend. And in person, there is no better sporting event to be a spectator at than a PGA tour event. Srs, if you're a golf fan and haven't been to a tournament, you're missing out.

There isn't as much excitement without a crowd.

MMA and football are great. Formula 1 is a lot of fun as well. I also watch some chess and esports but most people probably wouldn't consider that sports.

All Western "entertainment" has become complete trash the 10 years. Music, movies, games, sports, etc. All relegated to bluepilled cuck tier.

It's all just blatant propaganda because the (((people))) who run the entertainment industry have a monopoly on things. They make money no matter what at this point so the propaganda is the important thing. The Asians are the only one that still produce wholesome content.

Hockey’s pretty interesting right now. The skill level is as high or higher than its ever been and McDavid/Matthews are just plain fun to watch. Also, you have Ovi chasing the goal scoring record.

i lost interest in all sports. theres just too much **** that has replaced sports for my attention.

but yea throw on top all of the pathetic cultural marxism stuff and its tainted. Why cant we just have fun anymore?

i would love to be able to get back into baseball but the fun of it was being able to back a team because you felt connected to everyone else in the city that the team played for. Now, the left has completely destroyed all possibilities of people feeling connected to anyone else in anything other than politics or race/gender

While the wokeness killed it a bit for me, I still watch football (both college and pros) weekly.

What really killed it for me was the overexposure cause and effecr due to the media. Every little thing is a narrative and the media drives way too much.

I avoid ESPN or any major network like the plauge. I watch the games and go about my day.

The NBA in particular. Its not just the China/BLM cuckery, the SJW horse****, and loudmouth racist black ingrate athletes that permeate the league.....the actual product on the court is bad. They play really bad unappealing basketball. The two teams just take turns jacking up 3 pointers or clearing the lane so one star can go one-on-one vs another guy. They arent basketball players, they are amazing athletes playing basketball.
Its garbage.

The fact that James Harden is a perennial MVP candidate tells you how bad the NBA's product is. Dude is a total bitch who makes his living pretending to be fouled and flopping so that he can shoot 35 free throws per game.

I went from season ticket holder for my local team to not giving a **** if they fold or relocate tomorrow.

You can write a whole thesis on how PC culture and wokians destroyed sports, but taking that out of the equation, you still have an argument for sports being dumbed down. American football has so many weird conditional rules written in that it's taken away the "purity" (using the term loosely) away from the game. I get that player safety is an issue, but there are so many rules fattening the game where I believe you make more simple, cut and dry rules to maintain player safety. And don't get me started on the commercials. Baseball is suffering a similar fate, IMO. They want to shorten games, but have all of these mound visit rules, minimum batter rules, etc. The real problem is each batter has to take 30 seconds to readjust after every pitch, and if the pitcher pauses too long, the ump grants him time every-single-time. If you watch highlights from games 20+ years ago that was a rarity. Pitches were thrown seemingly once every 10-20 seconds.

Hockey's been dumbed down a little, but I think the bigger problem is wimpy OT rules more than anything.

Never was lo-test enough to watch basketball, so can't comment on that.

I used to watch 10 hours of football a week. I now watch zero.

Oh fuk forgot to add that to my football list. Kickoffs are now automatic touchbacks. No more kick return td’s. Just imagine if devin Hester was just entering the league now. Would be useless. Onside kicks are nearly impossible unless you’re Younghoe Koo
