Apple took 3 months to actually break higher.

Today strongest performers were Fang stocks. Maybe tmmrw its others turn.

My opinion EV market getting crowded and walls are closing in on Tesla.

Last year these delivery numbers would have printed bigly and today its trading sideways.

It looks like the action will probably start Thursday.

One of the differences I think is that sectors will kinda reshuffle their relationship with each other. So we have to update our stocks to watch. New ones will emerge. Old ones who were active will become stale. And there will be new groupings with similar big picture teeter totter effects.

Thats the way they are trying to keep us guessing. Probably make us think it will be weak and then suddenly lots of activity. They have to at some point right?

Everyone is processing this week. Tomorrow, Wed. And then Thursday will be ready.

All the big boy stocks are climbing as steps. and then will launch up others.

The weirdness of today is a clue to me that something is brewing.

If it would have been a basic downer day I would say wait till next week. But now late this week I feel is my prediction.

This is absolutely great advice and shows the strengths of diversification. Just about all of my accounts are also exclusively VTI/VTSAX or VT/VTWAX for this very reason. It is downright odd to come into this thread from time to time and read all the "market is crashing" / "my portfolio is bleeding" posts and think there must have been a major correction or something, only to see all my accounts showing green.

A lot of the younger types in this thread would be best served to stop chasing rocketships and read more on traditional retirement strategies (or just put all their retirement money into a target date fund if they don't want to hands on manage it). One of my greatest wishes would be to have a way to pass this along to the younger me. There is no substitute for time in the market...you don't get those early years back.

index options are where the real money is at. Whenever the index dips by a large amount, buy some monthly calls. Its free money unless we go into a recession

Thats like, an outdated concept man.

I hope you realize WSB is popular not because of edgy memes but because they have literally changed that piece of wisdom, fundamentally to the core. To say, no, day trading IS profitable (with a team around you) and you can make way more money NOW in a predictable repeatable way and also have a separate account for the FUTURE.

To say you should do only one and forget the other is bad advice. Though it might not have been a few years ago.

You need to keep up. Did you go spend months day trading THIS YEAR and find that your theory is correct? You tried and tried and couldn't find even one or two stocks before they obviously for sure went up to ride on? Unless you've tried to this and found it to be impossible not only for you, but anyone else, than that whole premise is false and you don't really know what's possible.

Because other people can do it. Ive done it. I feel I can continue doing it. And I can also do both.

My take on oil is that its legitimate but not because of the far future or as related to electric cars, Tesla, or energy in general but simply as a Covid recovery stock.

Everyone buys airlines and ships as recovery, but in simple terms, all those industries will use more oil once we are back so oil is actually a covid stock to me.

I also just had a thought.... what if all this is just the Dunning Kreuger effect, and what if im not as smart as I think I am and just think I know everything about stocks because im new..

Kinda like I was saying Sunday that there was gonna be a "pump-fake" ...

And then there was a huge PLTR pump fake today....

Was that too "abstract" to understand for you guys?

I keep forgetting you guys are so far below my analysis and chart knowledge that what I say flies above your heads because you guys are just sheep who don't actually understand who and what pulls the strings and actually effects price action lol

Especially ppl like Carbon Fiber who thinks anything and everything effects everything lmao

Your "trade sideways" post wasn't even about Palantir you absolute retard, it was about the general market which mooned today. Takes 2 minutes to cycle back to yesterday and read the context of your post (spoiler alert there was zero mention of Palantir).

Well I see PLTR as the anti-memer meme stock these weeks.

The same way people used to snub their nose at GME for being a silly meme for sheep, I see PLTR as being the mainstream serious mans meme stock and the inverse of GME.

GME is kinda becoming the "smart money" stock and PLTR is the one for fools who watch too much cable TV and CNBC and can't comprehend that Cathie Wood could fall off.

Two sides of the same coin. Make sense?

Well it has to do with predicting the market. If you can start to see patterns and make predictions based on those subtle patterns and gut instincts about charts you can stand to make a lot of money.

Or at least save yourself from losing money too often.

What?

I would... not describe what happened to the market today as mooning...

Maybe one sector... but the general market did NOT moon lmao.

not sure what you consider mooning.

So me saying that you and arem are opposite traders has exactly what to do with anything that you've posted?

Yeah 1.5% on SPY in a day is a pretty sideways day, you nailed it. Complete genius.
