Finance/Credit brahs get in hurr

Long story short..

The year I turned 18 I applied for a credit card on Amazon, got approved and then proceeded to buy Amazon fire tablets for both of my siblings and one for each of my parents. Lol.

I never made a single payment, due to pure laziness (I was making enough money at the time), and it may or may not have gone to collections?

If I recall, I got letters in the mail for a few years after, but I'm sitting here 12 years later and never paid a single dime, nor was I sued.

The negative marks on my credit score were removed like 5 years ago and my score has hovered in the high 7's to low 8's the past 4 years.

Can I assume that everything has been completely forgotten about/forgiven? Or will this chit come back to say "hi" at some point?

They’re gonna come after you for all that and 12 years of compounding interest

But no if it’s gone from your credit record, which it would be after 7 years, I’d assume you’re in the clear

You're good buddy.
Being wiped from a credit report doesn't inherently mean that I don't still owe them. Does it?

Amazon credit tried to collect

When they failed they sold the debt to a collections agency for pennies on the dollar

The bad debt collections agency also failed to collect and wrote off the debt ~5 years ago. There is no debt to be paid anymore.

You’re good.
