How do you know it's been good if you haven't compared the numbers to anything else? I'm not saying they haven't been accurate, but without a check on the numbers, how do you know?

Being from Cali, I only look at Cali numbers from CDPH website (link I posted) since those are supposedly the "official" numbers that affect me directly.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

How many antivaxxers are on the misc really, so much as anti authoritarianism regarding vaccines....(passports, shaming unvaccinated people)?

Just look at the comorbidities. If you're a healthy relatively young adult male, nobody should be giving you chit for not wanting to get a jab. No, it's not your job to take chemicals to "protect" others who put themselves at a high risk from unhealthy lifestyles: cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#Comorbidities

Crazy how well theyve buried these reports OP, all of this chit is out there but without State Propaganda telling people they will never look for themselves. When they released the first report last year the totaldeaths from Covid was only at ~9,xxx, and this was in the fall. Biggest scam/psyop in world history. Oh dude, they are in full spite mode. They will trade out the US piece of piece if it means getting back at Trumpers. They are either shills or complete blue-pilled pawns.

Not just from covid dawg...and several prominent politicians exacerbated the crisis by gross negligence or possibly willfully. I say the latter because their actions defy all logic.
price of freedom.

fatties gonna fat regardless unless you want to put these people in "fat" camps for mandatory exercise and dieting. but it's something I dont mind the govt stepping in to do from schools, or at least collaborate with other organizations to make physical fitness a more mandatory part of the school curriculum. Mandatory cooking/nutrition classes in high school, etc.

However, alot of guidelines hasn't kept up with current research and schools still teaching those old guidelines which doesn't really help. However what is labelled as "healthy" and "junk" gets blurred. For example, "heart healthy" cereal is still loaded with sugar and is calorie dense as chit. Is a cheeseburger necessarily "unhealthy" for you? I mean it's got some fats, carbs, proteins, maybe some tomatoes and lettuce in there too. It's more about the diet overall rather than individual foods which we arbitrarily label as good or bad. And how much of it that is eaten overall.

I'd say a more focus on physical fitness from a young age is a good start.

Yeah but some western countries have like a third or half the obesity we do. Look at Italy, I think it's sub 20%. We have an AWFUL food culture in the US. Forget the obsession with huge portions, but extremely cheap and addictive fast food, limited emphasis on PE and expensive healthy options. It's a multi-faceted issue though, because kids also spend more time in front of screens which subjects them to these advertisements. Plus suburban living where we drive everywhere.

I know that fast food/snack food companies are a massive lobby, and probably enjoy alot of benefits subsidies that health-based industries do not, allowing them to offer such low-priced food options.

This is why you are a fukin moron..It's been estimated there will be an additional 1.4 million tuberculosis deaths from the disruptions caused by lockdowns, 500k additional deaths related to HIV, 335k from malaria. So from these 3 diseases alone, that's 3.2 million lockdown deaths. COVID is at 1.9 million.

New study from the peer-reviewed Journal of American Heart Association finds over 63% of Covid hospitalizations were attributed to diabetes mellitus, heart failure, obesity and hypertension.

These conditions are, in most cases, preventable

The graph I posted is the United States excess deaths, not sure why you’re bringing up diseases and other illnesses completely unrelated to the United States.

Anyways

And yes, comorbidities are a thing. They do tend to complicate illnesses that people contract. “Preventable” is nonsense because the reality is that a large amount of Americans have these underlying conditions and you cannot ignore them and say “they’re preventable,” crazy Paul.

42% of Americans are obese, which complicates Covid, try to “solve” that.

Pretty much everything about this paragraph is incorrect. There is no conclusive evidence that advertisement is linked to childhood health issues. Companies being "so big" is largely due to regulatory barriers and anti-competitive measures implemented by the State. No company has in fact "practically monopolized advertisements." And where even is this "unabated capitalism" you speak of? Surely you don't mean the US, lol. But let's pretend that's all true and a junk food company did get so big that it practically monopolized food advertisements to children (that really doesn't make any fukking sense), what does that even mean that we "should probably come down harder" on it? As in, forcefully prevent it from doing so? Coercively prevent voluntary trade because you don't like it? Or you know, you could work on spreading health education to both children and especially parents who are the ones who provide the food to the children. Children aren't watching ads, driving to the store, and buying food.

You keep trying to implicate that excess deaths are “Covid” deaths. That is simply not the case. Posted before, but feel free to go through the laundry list of excess deaths & sickness due to lockdowns & extrapolate for the US..

Because of lockdowns

no, the original poster states there are excess deaths here in the US. then you go and post an article about malaria and tb deaths around the world increasing. i don't need to extrapolate that data because malaria doesn't exist in the US and TB death is virtually insignificant due to...a vaccine.

it's true people may have bailed on doctor visits and there's increased death from cancer or heart attacks. but it's because ICUs were stuffed previously with covid cases and people with pre-existing conditions were afraid to go to the doctors while anti-maskers and protestors were going around without a care in the world.

i'm not for a complete lockdown. but people like OP saying covid is pretty much nothing is the reason we're in this mess. had we taken it srsly from the beginning, we'd be in much better shape. even now, you have people on the misc proclaiming the vaccine is a scam. lol.

i'm not for a complete lockdown. but people like OP saying covid is pretty much nothing is the reason we're in this mess. had we taken it srsly from the beginning, we'd be in much better shape. even now, you have people on the misc proclaiming the vaccine is a scam. lol.
TB vaccination is hardly done in any industrialized country.

Liberals simply can't accept that death is part of life and there's risk every time you step outside. They want daddy government to coddle them and make them feel safe, telling them they'll live forever.

Remember when everyone was arguing over this?

It was basically considered insensitive to bring up this statistic?

Then magically it disappeared.

Italy has less obese people, but keep in mind "obese" doesn't mean "fat", it means "REALLY FAT". Italy and other countries have plenty of fat people too, just not obese.

>CDC Director Robert Redfield confirmed, “We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from COVID. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose that are above excess that we had as background than we are seeing the deaths from COVID,” he said during a webinar in June.

The effects of lockdown is literally killing more people than covid lmao. Thx democrats.

We're not falling for all this fearmongering anymore. It's time to let nature take its course, God gave us an immune system for a reason.

I work for the Feds and have been involved in many Covid discussions with the various secretaries and executive WH staff. I've also written several regulations and contributed to a law pertaining to how things across the country should be handled. From what I can gather this shamdemic is total bs. It is 100% about control.

Look at gun control. The Dems havn't been able to pass effective gun control legislation but they can easily pass legislation making it illegal to conceal and carry while wearing a mask. Then they make mask wearing mandatory effectively instituting nationwide gun control under the guise of Covid protective measures. There are countless things like this being carried out in plain sight.
