Just lmao at communism when there is a lot of corporate welfare [srs]

Lmao at a 23-year-old Geography (Ivy league tier, however) graduate doing "technology consulting" under the Big 3 Management Consulting brands at a Fortune 200 schooling software people on technology.

This is the real definition of a social construct.

Also, corporate is as meritocratic as gov work during the Soviet Union.

Firstly as I have gathered through my very limited travels, that a lot of the time consultants are hired as a form of money laundering. I.e. they're only needed to offload money somewhere, and make flashy presentations.

Secondly, they're not exactly schooling them, but rather giving them a different viewpoint to help them make better decisions. Sometimes having a broader higher level viewpoint can be beneficial.

Too bad most Redditors / SJW have a vision of Communism that didn't exist. They still had money, supermarket, mortgages, etc. All the "free" stuff in the Soviet Union either had decades long waiting list or you had to bribe to get to the front of the line. Even the famous 'Soviet canteen' had a price that was equivalent to like 4 bus tickets (viewed as being expensive).

Yeah Brezhnev brought in unemployment police who would look for loitering people but I'm not sure if you would had wanted the "job" they would give you: mining, agricultural worker (they had no vacation time at all), etc.

Ironically USA and especially UK are closer to the idealistic version of Communism than USSR ever was. There's so many ways to become a welfare queen. There's people at r/NEET on Reddit who even share tips how to claim medical disabilities like autism and fake the symptoms to get it.

Socialism/Communism is evil. Just because we fuked up allowing corporate donations to essentially allow lobbyists to write their own laws doesn't mean there is a problem with capitalism.

What? That is a huge problem with capitalism. Are you some type of purest who actually believe capitalism is a perfect and flawless idea?

Also, the word evil is outdated and dogmatic. It actually doesn’t apply here. Communism is an extremely flawed method of managing the economy, to the point of being rendered useless, and it should be avoided at all costs. That isn’t evil though.

As far as socialism, there is no argument to have it or not. The argument is to what extent do we apply it. There is no pure free market, and there never will be. Capitalists have proven time and time again they cannot self regulate to any degree of moral or ethical standard. The government will always be involved. This is not an opinion.

What I’m getting at, is there is a middle ground. Either the government is exploiting the working class or the wealthy elites are, with the help of the government they end up running.

Communism needs to be squashed like a ****ing bug, but pure capitalism isn’t feasible either. That is why banks are bailed out, and why we have weekends.

We already have FULL socialism for corporations and the wealthy. Just not for YOU.

Trump was the most socialist president in history. Blows my mind anyone can worship MAGA bloatlord, and at the same time talk about how they don't want no soshulism. Do you even understand the world around you? At all?

Are you in tech yourself?

When developing tech products it's very easy to get bogged down with all the little complicated details and lose track of the big picture. Those consulting firms usually have a lot of broad experience working with and studying other tech companies, which is exactly what a tech company with the best engineering talent might be missing.

I was in software dev for 1.5 years and I agree - digging in a log for errors does not give you perspective; it is also mind-bogglingly boring.

That is why I became a Business Analyst in tech and I like it much better - you are more valuable as you get promoted to Product (Project) Manager and you are much better than a random consultant. I can do market/strategy research myself on top of that even for fun and plot it in a beautiful report.

Their non-tech background surface level market research .ppt is bull****.

Have you had your own experience with this?

Surely it's not as simple as you make it out to be.

I'm the opposite, I just couldn't get engaged doing the analytical stuff, while working on the finished product is more fun and satisfying to me.

Campaign finance laws are independent of the economic system. There is no such thing as pure capitalism - there is always some regulation. Allowing corporations to practice free speech and so allowing for corporations to contribute money to political campaigns is a major problem not inherent to capitalism.

as if there is no detailed analytical stuff in the technical sphere, and it is boring as hell when it is an established product

Software devs -> technical stuff; BA/Project-Product Manager does surface level better ****.

Bringing people from a technical background with those BA skills is what makes sense, not some Geography graduate under the Big 3 Consultancy name with a huge retainer who doesn't know how any new feature would work in the real world.
