I'm doing half in Mexico and Half in Thailand.....and I'm suspose to be jealous of some git who just spent 550 on a 3x3 10 miles out in Dallas and then Lease a 3 series beemer built in Alabama just so his cumdumpster wife/girlfriend can keep up with the jones?? These are the real plebs.

they always have the same defense too, yeah well uhhh... in 3 years by house will be worth 5x as much!!! (YEAH RIGHT!). they just automatically assume it will sell that much and they always leave out all the huge deductions and taxes and fees like land transfer and lawyer stuff. in reality they might only make 5-10k a year. and thats assuming they didnt get cucked by general maintenance.

Ideally, homeowners would want a modest appreciation.

High increases means you can lock yourself out of options.

Your houses increases 25%, all the other houses increase just as much for the most part. Now, you cant even upgrade bc the houses you would want to upgrade have increased even more and makes it very difficult to keep up with in terms of saving the necessary amt.

The only way it works out is if you would be looking to downsize or move to a lower COL city.

Honestly your home's value doesn't mean that much because if you sell it, yeah you'll get more for it, but then you'll have to pay more for your next home 90% of the time. Might have a little more money in your pocket if you downsize but that's stepping back.
