Its actually close to double 1% which you admitted would be very high
Weird that more ppl died in 2019 than in 2020 where there was a global pandemic.
More ppl died from heart disease and cancer in 2019. Yet in 2020 heart disease and cancer was in hold I guess

It depends on the cost of those precautions, I'd say.

Also, getting sick is not necessarily a bad thing. Example, a lot of times people get strep throat and run to the doctor and get prescribed antibodies immediately. It shaves a day off a painful experience, that is good right? What about the cost of it? Never mind antibiotics aren't good for your health (they ruin your gut biome) but who is healthier in the long run - the guy who gets sick and recovers or the guy who lives in a bubble and is never exposed to any germs?

Many of us work out. That is built entirely around this idea that we tear ourselves down, give ourselves time to recover and end up being stronger for the journey.

You think your immune system is any different? Stressing it and having it recover makes it work harder and better in the long term.

You can live in a plastic bubble if you want. I suppose that is one way to address the coronavirus and life in general. I personally prefer to work on myself and do what I can to make sure that I am strong and healthy and able to handle the coronavirus and whatever other health issues that a strong immune system can deal with.

So, get plenty of good rest every night. Eat a healthy and well-balanced diet. Avoid sugar, processed foods and alcohol. Work on dealing with stress. Get exercise daily. Drink plenty of water, etc.

... who do you think is better off overall? Someone who takes time to take care of themselves and isn't overly concerned with masks and isolating themselves constantly or someone who just wants to hide and isn't talking or thinking much about their personal health? How does that riddle tickle you?

If your response is, "Hey! I also care about MY health too!!!" then great -- Start talking about it more, then. Bring it up instead of talking about how everyone needs to wear 4 masks and keep 12' away from every other living being, etc...

That would be illegal, until it's FDA approved in 2024-ish.

Exercising every day wears down your immune system. You need a day off per week. Even with a day off sometimes I overdo it and then get a cold, try to return to working out or playing tennis matches too soon and it turns into a sinus infection.

Yes.

If you get sick, strep throat, coronavirus, common cold, flu, whatever -- REST.

I didn't know I needed to spell that out. Your CNS is stressed, immune system waging a war in your body, it all takes a toll on you. Hence the aches, pain and tiredness we all experience when we get sick. Rest, drink fluids, eat if you're hungry (or don't if you're not) and sleep when you can.

Once that process is finished, you'll probably end up more robust than before in most cases. That was the point I was making, trying rather.

Oh OK. I agree. I can't take sick days from work since we are short staffed, so many times I end up getting worse from colds because I don't get enough rest. Or I'll go work out too soon and it turns into bronchitis or a sinus infection.

That being said, wouldn’t there be a huge backlash if everyone who took the vaccine starts dropping like flies? Or do they think we are that cucked that we won’t do anything when they start killing millions?
I think the strategy is to make it like a yearly or bi yearly flu shot and kill you slowly with it. People are still terrified of this **** and will obviously rush to get their 6 months dose of rat poison.

That’s what I think the strategy is. It’s all speculation.

China is involved on every level of this.

They’re the ones heading the QR code vaccine passport thing. Soon everywhere you go you’ll have to scan and sign in with a QR code just like at my work and verify that you’ve had your most recent vaccine. The govt and the ccp will know your every move and whether you’ve been vaccinated pretty soon.

I'm just thankful that we found out the FDA approval process that takes years is unnecessary for ensuring a drug is safe

Think of all the great medicine that will be comin out now that the process went from 10 years to less than 1 year. Surprised no one looked into that before

Can you please share those facts with me, since you seem to be so into facts.

Btw, what fact has shown that social distancing, especially masks and lockdowns (of which each state had different methods) are effective? What are they effective at - keeping people from ever getting covid or simply slowing the spread? If it's keeping people from ever getting covid, please explain how that works.

Glad to see you're non-delusional and science-based, it's good that someone here is all about the science and knows what they are talking about.

Is surviving covid (or avoiding whatever negatives come with getting it, like the potential for lung damage) your only motivation?

I believe I already had it - some people were demanding that I still needed to wear masks and get vaccinated.

In any event, more power to you. If you think the risk of covid is greater to you personally than the vaccine you should get it. Do whatever you think is safest for you.

Personally I do not believe the vaccine is some strange conspiracy to wipe people out. I do not believe that it will cause cancer and death down the line. I do believe it was rushed and untested, though - and just google what they did in Africa with bad vaccines. All this talk about them being safe... yeah, MAYBE, but some vaccines have been rushed and have had serious and even deadly consequences in the past and it's not a conspiracy, it's a matter of record.

So you don't know fuk all but pretend to be knowledgeable. Gotcha. I mean, we all knew it anyway, I just asked those questions to highlight it -- I had no idea you were so deluded you would actually respond (nice GRAPH, btw), and show you had no actual knowledge of jackchit to some very basic questions I asked.

Fuking sad, really, sad that a lot of people are just as ignorant as you are and, like you, laughably act like they're somehow smarter/better than other people simply because you lack even the slightest hint or ability to critically think or take a single step towards actually looking into this thing. Ignorant as fuk, yet smugly arrogant at the same time.

Nope, just take the random smattering of CNN headlines and preach it like Gospel. Pathetic, bro.

Now, I look forward to your reply where you act like I've been saying the vaccines are poison or that Covid is madeup or whatever completely incorrect overstatement of anything I've said in this thread sounds like. I say this because we all know: It's ALL you got.

I wish everyone had that attitude, but in reality, we're bombarded with peer pressure and guilt tripping from all angles encouraging us to go get the vaccine asap - online, tv, sports, media, employers, family, friends, etc.

Somehow you're a science denying/anti-vaxxer/grandma killer just for wanting to let the scientific method play out before getting it. It's a weird time we're living in.

I mean, I ask you what the average age of those who die is - and you show this graph. I ask you what the median obesity rate was - and you show this graph that shows people died. I ask what percentage of those who died had pre-existing conditions - and you show this graph that shows people died.

Unfortunately for you, I never once said people had not died because of this. I simply wanted to know if you had any inkling of understanding of the makeup of those who had.

And the answer to that question is this: You are an idiot.

Yeah man, I've been knocking around (some) people who are aggressively pro-vaccine but it should be pointed out that there are a lot of people who 'know' this vaccine is deadly and causing deaths or seem to have figured out some conspiracy. That ain't good, either.

Ita about 280k over normal deaths of all causes over last year. Still serious obviously but lots of classification of death shenanigans going on certainly.

30,662,171 total cases

555,231 total deaths

555,231/30,662,171 = 0.018

0.018 = 1.8% mortality rate

Its actually close to double 1% which you admitted would be very high
Black people are 13% of the U.S. population but are the majority of that 1.8

That’s enough for me.

Where are you seeing that?

The death RATE per population of blacks is twice that of whites but nowhere near over half the total. And native Americans are twice the RATE of blacks.

Notice how the groups most fuked all have dark skin? Poverty and dense living conditions might contribute, personally I also think vitamin D levels are a major factor. Darker skin (so, Native Americans, Hispanics, black people) don't as readily absorb vitamin D from the sun and those groups tend to be deficient in vitamin D.

You're a black bro, if you're not getting a lot of sun everyday, I strongly urge you to supplement daily with vitamin D. 2-10IU daily, I'd take it in the mornings. 5K is probably the sweet spot there.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
