Anyone else watch Mayans?

Love this show as much as SOA and the writing/story has gotten even better this third season

Great show, every bit as good as SOA if not better due to a lack ofsome of the old ridiculousness. I find the overall lack of interest confusing; almost as if most of the audience for SOA isn't watching because no one told them to.

Yeah I don't get it. They got rid of the ******* producer and now the show is being written by someone who actually was a gang member at one point. Finally finished the latest episode and I am on pins n needles to see whats gonna go down for what happened to EZ

Oh **** totally forgot about this show. I watched the first 2 seasons but didn't hear anything about the third one so I just assumed it was cancelled. I prefer this much more than SOA, the cartel storyline in Mayans makes all the difference imo.

I liked Sons Of Anarchy, just can’t get into the Mayans. Watched the first few episodes and wasn’t impressed. Maybe I have to give it another try.

I felt the same way and it absolutely got better. It dragged in the beginning, but with such complex storytelling it had a lot to say in order for anything to have value.

SoA might be my favorite show of all time after Game of Thrones destroyed itself with how it ended. I’m watching Mayans and while I enjoy and will continue, i still can’t remember the names of any of the guys outside of EZ, Angel and Coco.

That's been a big issue. Some much dead weight that could go in that club. Only ones that really stand out are the one's you mentioned and bishop

SoA fell off a cliff in the last couple seasons. The women in that show are phucking annoying.

I've never given the show Mayans a try. Can't say I've been too interested after the way SOA went. SOA started out pretty great for the first two seasons, season 3 was pretty good but the start of things getting ridiculous, and 4 was still worth watching if you really liked the show. I got halfway through season 5 before I started giving up and slowed way down. Eventually made it maybe halfway through season 6 over the course of a few years before I finally noped out, as the show had just gotten bizarre and stupid by that point.

A guy I know was talking about that show and put on the ending motorcycle scene like he was reminsicing super fondly of it. I already long knew what the ending was, and that actually was the final nail in the coffin for the show for me to making me have zero interest in it. Such an awful ending to a show that started out with so much promise, imo. No idea how any SOA fans were satisified with that bs ending (as well as 95% of what happened in seasons 5 - 7 in general), even hardcore fans.

I guess I just don't have much interest in TV shows either, though. Might give it a whirl if I find myself with time and bored out of my mind. It's hard for me to imagine the new/newer show being any worse than the last few seasons of SOA were.

I think I got two episodes in and gave up on it.

Just didn't really feel like watching a bunch of Noel Gugliemi clones spouting orale esse and calling each other cabrons for 45 mins a go, just didn't seem appealing.

What's not to get?

SOA fell off the rails, debatable when, but by season 7 it was a clown show that ended with Jax's death with comically laughable (and unnecessary) special effects. Sutter followed this up with a much-reviled medieval show that was immediately chitcanned (I didn't watch it, so I won't comment).

He lost all the goodwill and momentum from the Shield and the first couple of good seasons of SOA by the end. Some people aren't gluttons for punishment so they Nope Out. If this is good, that's a shame for it but I will probably wait for it to wrap and hear if it went full Dexter or not before I invest hours and hours into another show. Just too much good TV out there these days

I always sort of wondered about The Bastard Executioner, which I only got thru 1 episode of, it was terrible..

Was he an executioner that killed bastards?

Or was he himself a bastard who executed people?
