Post above, yes it is a living hell. Imagine a normal mother and law and multiply it by 100. She complains about everything, doesn't help with the kids, leaves all her dirty dishes. And when I complain my wife gets mad at me. So right now im basically just ignoring everything. Oh yeah and she's latin so when she's complaining its non stop, irritating like nails on a chalk board

Not sure how to initiate that. She did have her daughter (my wife) at 18, so she's still relatively young, but if she even so muched as talked during i would literally punch her in the face

oh yeah, and every day i come home my house smells like **** because she uses a **** ton of essential oils. Not the good smelling ones either. The offensive nasty ones. Worst is when we're in the car and she breaks out a bottle and lubes up.

I always roll down the windows because the smell is unbearable, but now my wife says that's rude and she knows why im rolling down the windows - my mind says well then don't ****ing use them around me. This is literally my nightmare. So many annoying things and if i complain about any of them i'm the bad guy

yeah she can't cook and is "allergic" to like 50 different things and always tells stories about how in elementary school they made her eat something so she doesn't like it anymore.

been about 5 times ive spent hours cooking something for her (especially ie, no seafood, mushrooms, skin on zuchinni whatever), and then she doesn't eat it because i cooked shrimp next to it....so infuriating

in her defense she's from PR, and we just had a kid. But when she visits it's for like 3-4 months at a time, in our house. And IDC who you are that's not healthy. And everytime i try to get some alone time with my girl, she's there. I woke up early and told my girl lets go get breakfast, next thing i know i hear her getting ready, i ask what happened and she goes "you know we do everything together". So I literally have no escape.

I go to lowes like 5 times a week. Sometimes i dont even get out of the car, i just drive

No she definitely doesn't, but i've learned the line is the mother. She falls in line with everything i say and agrees with me about most everything with her mom, but doesn't like me getting mad at her and constantly complaining (when every day there's dirty dishes, the house reeks of essential oils, shes laying on the couch while im making dinner and sends me my son to change his diaper)...She knows who her mom is, she just wants me to be better i guess.

just frustrating because my parents are the exact opposite (ie not lazy pieces of ****)

I agree and all things considered she's relatively considerate. The problem i guess is it's her mother. She didn't grow up with a dad and has 2 sisters, and in reality her mom is more like a big sister than a mother to her so i think that's where a lot of this comes from.

She's so much smarter than her mom (and that's why i love her no homo), but with her mom here, she says stuff that i know she wouldn't say before and i know shes just saying because her mom is influencing her, and that's the most frustrating part. She has to tell her mom not to get into ******** arguments with people (family, and even her friends).

Her mom also doesn't believe covid is real, believes obama is a part of the illuminati, and every time its 3:33 or 4:44 she says something. She also told my wife, that she deserved to get covid for working instead of just going on unemployment. Oh, and she was the costco samples girl before covid...

so yea this is what im dealing with... 1 more month boyos.

tomorrow ill probably go to lowes, home depot, and somewhere else. Already been to all of them multiple times this week, likely wont even step foot out of the car, but the alone time/driving is peaceful.

I have a garden that i usually use to escape, but most mornings she plays this loud ****ing meditation **** that ruins my time alone

thats the other fun thing, she's supposed to be helping us because we have a newborn (and a toddler), but she cant help with the toddler because she wakes up at 12 pm and then has a 1 hr meditation after.

If i didn't have kids i would be begging to be single

A serious talk with the wife is in order. This isnt right at all. I agree with you, the kid is what makes things permanent not "marriage" no matter what, youre tied for life. Maybe your wife subconsciously knows this and gives less of a **** about how you feel.

I will also say, birth ****s women up mentally for a while because all the hormones are out of whack. Shes likely not thinking clearly.

No idea what that is, sounds weird.

My sons birthday is coming up, and i'm going to smoke a pork shoulder so that gives me like 12 hours outside drinking beer by myself which is pretty cool
