Posts with everything socialism is upvoted and on the front page, examples are: cancel student debt, Amazon is evil, billionaires are the reason poor people exist, government needs to provide more for free. It's like no 1 understands that in order to give someone something it is taken away from someone else.

Student debt is insane and it's a setup where CHILDREN must pick a degree and pay massive amounts of money for it, whether that degree is worth something or not. That makes them wage slaves for life, at times, and is a massive capitalist trap.
Almost no jobs pay a living wage with no education. So, it's a catch 22 paradox.
Amazon is a great company and I used them all the time. They have massive money and should be a great employer. Companies like Costco were started by a nordic type of guy who wanted to share profits with workers. He used to make 100k a year and share the rest with employees, thus making costco, and a good place to work, for a store.
There is no need to defend Amazon.

It's almost as if a system where 85% of the population is struggling (to be middle upper class you have to be the top 15%) is producing a bunch of Leftists / Socialists - who would had funk?
I think China Unscripted on YouTube did a good explanation of this. When people struggle despite playing by the rules: "attain a college degree and you'll be rich enough to afford a home, a wife and 3 kids" then out of failure, and without finding an alternative, they always revert to the "government must do something to fix this!".

Capitalism is amazing and the rich don't hoard capital, they invest it, there is a huge difference.
Who do you know that's a billionaire that is sitting with more than 10% of their capital liquid? Hell most probably have less than 1% liquid, the rest is invested.
That money is working and creating jobs.
I'm just curious where you guys think it's being hoarded. I feel like people saying this not only have no education in economics, they've also done no independent research themselves either. They probably are working for or in association with whatever political party since I can't imagine someone would come to that conclusion themselves.
Capitalism is amazing. I was born into a very poor family, now I have a lot and that's all thanks to capitalism. Sorry if you fail at everything in life and haven't been able to make it.

And all you guys complaining about Tech moguls in USA really need to get your head checked. If USA did not have silicon valley and didn't become the center of the digital economy... you'd most likely be sitting there looking at a much worse economic situation with no jobs.
Yes it sucks lots of small businesses lost out in the transition to digital economy... but USA gained massively and was able to steal GDP away from the rest of the world. You really shouldn't be complaining, the alternative is much worse.

The thing though is that the tech companies that have been able to flourish in USA and attain relative monopolies there have been able to go on and have near global domination in their areas... this wouldn't happen if you had multiple small businesses taking that business instead. If you have multiple small businesses doing that businesses than all the local markets globally would be dominated by small local players instead.

Actually $200 000 000 000 aren't that much in the big picture of things. If you take that amount and share it between the bottom 80% of USA population. Which is not even possible to be liquidated, because a lot value will be lost trough the process. But hypothetically let's say its possible. That's $200 000 000 000/260 000 000 = $769. Just LOL. Bringing down huge corporation wont do anything except worsening the economic.
