its hard to say how that fight would go. cena is definitely bigger but hes also had the ability to take whatever supplements he wants without fear of having to pass testing.

regardless though, being big doesnt necessarily make you a good fighter especially going up against someone who is definitely a good fighter

Cena is a big dude, probably a lot stronger, but Khabib isn't going to let him use that, and Cena will be gassed very quickly compared to Khabib's almost unreal endurance. Put strikes on the table and endurance won't even be as much of a factor as it will be about a minute long fight.

Have we forgotten that in the early years of UFC, there were no weight classes and a 170lb man Royce Gracie wrecked everyone from wrestlers to strikers. Khabib would wreck a prime Gracie.

Yeah in real life they are probably separated by 50 pounds and 2 inches in height. Khabib spars with heavyweights regularly, ones with way more skill than Cena.

Does anyone remember the early ufc days, big monsters getting their ass handed to them by guys smaller than khabib.

This is so stupid.

Size matters in fights, but it's proportional to the skill gap. When you're talking literally one of the best fighters in the world vs a guy who is probably average at fighting, the weight advantage isn't really the significant factor. Also bear in mind that in a 'real fight' khabib won't have to cut weight either, so he will probably look better than he does fighting at 155 and he will also be significantly heavier than 155 too.

170-190 were usually dominant. The big guys get gassed quickly. In the mean time the smaller dudes would focus on leg strikes and tear their legs up, and it was just down hill from there. You start seeing them protect that leg, and the other leg got torn up, then that limp, you knew there were only about a minute left before they were out.

Even with the rules, they can only come in about 10% heavier so we see him in the ring about 170, but if he didn't have to make weight, considering there would be prep time, he would be coming in 180-190 stepping in the ring.

Then take we have to waive the rules about juicing, and the fact that Russia has the best juice, Khabib would be an absolute monster. Of course, I think he's done with fighting, so Cena should start insulting Khabib's religion and his father to really bring him in full effect. Better put 4 refs into the ring or Cena litterally would probably get killed..

Amazing how little the majority of the population knows/understands about fighting.

But he's literally one of the worlds strongest men and probably weighs close to twice as much as Cena, that's a false equivalence. Cena is not a 440lbs 6'9 strongman, he's like a 6 foot, 220-230lbs fairly athletic gearhead with minimal fighting skills. There's a difference between a 40-50lb weight advantage, and a 250lb weight advantage lol..

Anyone who's spent a decent amount of time grappling has rolled with a guy 50lbs smaller than them and had their ass handed to them, and understands just how hard a huge skill gap is to overcome even with a big weight advantage.

That was starting in an extremely favorable position, Brian Shaw would not have got there had they not started in that position.

From Dustin's guard he was able to defend fine. And that is literally the strongest person, not John Cena.

Yes Khabib would win, but you guys are highly underrating Cena...

The guy isn't just some jacked strong dude on celltech. He is a freakish elite athlete with great cardio and acrobatic skills. He has also demonstrated the ability to take a lot of pain and finished WWE despite nasty injuries.

Also the current WWE champion is Bobby Lashley not Cena. And Khabib wouldn't stand a chance vs him in a fight.

A buddy of mine is a semi-famous WWE wrestler and he plays a creepy bad guy.

He's a super nice guy and an amazing athlete but these guys don't train to fight, they're more like acrobats and stuff, not boxers.

I really respect the show that's put on, but it's not fighting for real.
