Cuz let's face it, most men are so hard up for women in their early years, they have little control over their natural drive, but that doesn't mean it leads to sex. It's usually just a phase for most men. Most men can't act on those urges and despite being able to land a lot of women, plenty of men don't, for various reasons, one being maturity, standards, morality, etc.

I think one of the main reasons the misc disagrees with JP is because he has moral standards. Notice how they are never specific on why they dislike him. That might require well thought out reasoning.

In psychotherapy, you always should be focusing on the fulfillment of the patient. That has been a focus since the 1800s.

Back then, the focus was literally on not masturbating, whoring around, not developing fetishes, and developing family relationships instead. The idea was that the only way to have a "real life" was through bonding with others and not leading what was called an "Autistic Lifestyle".

Psych was obsessed with these ideas.

So, what subjects do we talk about today? Not masturbating and not being an autist are huge topics.

Being a womanizer is loosely related to being an autist and masturbating. A womanizer is an autist as they miss the big picture and is masturbating "into women" and is not bonding.

I think his life advice is awful. I won't watch his 12 steps program.

But his psychology and maps of meaning lectures are legit. Dude knows alot about what makes people tik tok and breaks down the teachings of some of the great philosophers and psychologists jnto easily digestible 1.5hr lectures. I could listen to pinnochio and lobster fights all day long. And I do.

It's hard to point you in a direction because I have read thousands of books and studied much of the history of psychology related to my field of interest. I used to collect older psych books and read them because I was interested in the evolution of modern ideas. I also used to be interested in thoughts on homosexuality, sexual issues, and so on that are no longer talked about.

I got interested in that stuff when I read books on the older theories of autism coming from parental neglect. It seemed very valid and other explanations were too.

A long time ago, psych books were not for the public, they were for clinicians only, so they were honest. When things got more public, all of it was censored.

I doubt you can find much historical psych on the internet, as it will be censored, not there, or with PC commentary mixed in.

However, you could probably look up the history of masturbation and psych, but it's going to be PC mixed in unless you find an old text.
