But fundamentally. Like people who trade and look for volatile stocks arent picking stocks they worry will go down in the first place. We arent even in a position to need a stop loss or want to fumble with one because it doesn't even make sense; like why wouldn't we just be watching the stock, and why would it be tanking without us knowing. We have no business being in that scenario, that long, in the first place.

In the context of scalping, day trading and swing trading you don't need such a measure nor should you use one. And when you talk wanting/favoring volatility you are automatically talking in that day trading/swing trading context by default unless otherwise specified.

Maybe you would have a notification or something turned on? But its not a program you just run and go about your day. You cant just sit there and run a bunch of parameters for selling or buying and leave the bot to do it all for you dude.

You have to pay attention every minute if youre looking to make money off of it. Think of yourself as a security guard who gets paid in crazy commissions every once in a while for baby sitting and watching stocks

The guy is an animal.

Think of the flip side though. If he sold and said that’s it...then what? Stock likely tanks and crushes a lot of people. I think he did everyone a favor by going out the way he did.

I remember watching his streams before he got national attention. Seemed like just a regular guy that liked to have fun. Wish him the best.

True.

It made sense for DFV to make this move.

Plus he said final update on his portfolio. Nobody will know what he does next.

So if this pops or doesn't any time now he can slowly start to unwind the trade.

I can’t stay awake all night trading chit coins or even regular stocks when busy at work

I would rather make a good entry, sit around for 10 minutes to make sure everything looks good, then set a stop loss a bit below the resistance to avoid candle wicks triggering. 9/10 times a stop loss is better than no stop loss. Worst case you take a slight loss and can try again later. If you’re scalping then sure, who fking cares because your trades last minutes or hours at best.

I just read through CTYX's annual filing and LOL'd hard. They have up to 1.1 billion shares they can dilute out. Currently only 330m shares have been given/sold thus far which is up 11 million from 2020. IMO their patents aren't particularly great or useful. It sounded nice when you say they have a cancer drug that other companies might want, but I actually read what they had and it doesn't sound very promising. I was thinking about repurchasing, but now I'm not so keen.

What is your bull case for RECAF? I don't get why you or any one else values it so highly. They just drilled their first successful well and the OTC company is now worth 670 million? I don't get it because it is a Canadian company similar to the one I have been hyped on TGA which has a lot of wells going in Egypt, it is listed on the NASDAQ, and current market cap is 110 million.

I've read daily about it for the past several weeks.

Basically a powerhouse team with renowned experts. Used a soil analysis study completed years ago for millions of dollars, sent it to a leading expert in Houston who said there has never been a basin this deep without substantial amounts of oil. Conservative estimate they did if the huge land that they rented(12% of land has oil) is 120 billion barrels of oil making it one if not the biggest basin ever discovered on earth. The initial drilling results from well 1 confirmed 660 feet of oil & natural gas indicators over three discrete intervals. Their estimate was 400ft but discovered 660ft.

They are just in a discovery phase so no fracking and hopefully no fracking ever needed for the basin. Not all the resources are recoverable and who knows if some of it even will be. This would put a conservative price range for the stock at around $100-$200 with wild estimates(should they discover a huge amount that's recoverable) of up to a $1000. They need to complete the two other wells before they can create a map of the basin.

Now this is a highly speculative play like you mentioned but Namibian government has a 10% stake in it no strings attached with the possibility of investing more should the pieces fall in place.

There's a lot of misinformation about them doing fracking, un-environmental disposing of byproducts, kicking out the indigenous people etc. but if you look at the videos they've put on their website and interviews done with the management, this is not the case at all.

The way I see it, is if you have some cash to gamble with, throw a couple of grand or more into it and if you get lucky and the discovery is as huge as the management anticipates, your 2k would turn to 200k or more. I only dropped what I can comfortably lose and not cry over on the off-chance that the stars align and it'll print 7 figures.

The current price should be $10 according to some analysts.

If you do decide to join the lottery where either everyone wins or everyone loses, I'd wait a bit as the price is most likely going to drop. 100% increase in two days is not sustainable in any way.

On reddit.com/r/reconafrica you can see all sorts of estimate calculators and a deeper look into what the business is about but this is nothing like EEENF that got pumped and dumped recently.

https://www.bloomberg.com/press-rele...-could-be-here

Bill Cathey, President and Chief Geoscientist of Earthfield Technology is
known as the "geological interpreter to the supergiants," as he has consulted
for every oil and gas major and large independent in the business. Here's what
he had to say about the Kavango Basin:

"Not only was the data on the basin some of the best he had ever seen...
nowhere in the world is there a sedimentary basin of this depth that has ever
failed to produce commercial quantities of hydrocarbons. "

And Cathey is not the only expert to have weighed in on the potential for
Reconnaissance Energy Africa ( RECO .V; RECAF ).

what concerns me is it didn't hold 22.50 support. closed slightly below. im not hopeful for the coming week

but ive also committed to not selling at a loss. it is what it is

i do think the stock has potential, but insider selling needs to reduce, and they also need to pull some actual figures out on earnings day. no more projections, we need profits.

if those 2 things happen it's gonna be above 30 quite quickly. but i wouldn't be surprised if we see it test 20 and maybe even go lower before then

hmmmm

look at all that COIN insider selling. I removed my measly buy at $250 phuck that shiit.

https://aleks.cmlviz.com/stocks/COIN/holders

$5 billion worth of COIN was sold off.

If you were confident in your product why are you dumping it?

meanwhile Cathie/ARK is buying all those bags. ARK exposure is now $500 million

$5 billion worth of COIN was sold off.

If you were confident in your product why are you dumping it?

Chamath stated on his podcast this week that the shares he was awarded through his investment in Ribbitt were sold at 506x gain. Who the hell would be dumb enough to not sell at these markups.

To reiterate, that was 506x not 506%.
