Recommend me some hobbies or other activities?

A little bored and most of my friends are away.

Looking for some random things that don't cost a bunch of money and can do at home, like model cars.

Will rep first posters

Im kind of boring but this is what I usually do..

1. Leverage Trade Crypto
2. Find a recipe that looks good that I've never made and try to make it.
3. Find a painting you like and try to copy it. (Supplies cost like $45 the first time, but after that it's just a canvas.

Build a birdhouse. I know it sounds stupid, and the birdhouse will come out chitty. It can be kind of fun if you have a miter saw or chop saw. You can usually come across some old pallets somewhere. All you need is some wood glue and paint. No need to thank me bro.

Painting, drawing, writing, hiking.

Failing that you can load up on podcasts and go for a long walk.

Best hobbies also benefit you while doing them. This can be physically (such as lifting) , socially (such as going to a party) or both at same time (such as rec sports league). There are also hobbies that can help you artistically (reading, writing) or financially (selling stuff on etsy). I am a firm believer that a key part of fulfillment and happiness is to produce (landscaping, woodwork, blogging, etc.) more than you consume (buying worthless chit, watch netflix all day, video games)

IDEAL hobbies are excellent at doing multiple positive areas at once. Some of the best ones I recommend:
- recreational sports - anything, even if you arent good at it, can work out and get to know people. Consider trying to join like a soccer league or something

- start a blog, write, book, etc. AND couple that with joining a community for it (meetup.com or something similar will have this). This scratches a creative itch and social. Even if you will never make money from your writing it is still rewarding. For the community the in person is better

- something you can make money from, even if it's not. Like to draw? Go on Fiverr.com and sell drawings of people for $10 or whatever (can charge more). Into photography? Try to work as a freelancer.

- Try something new. A lot of happiness is derived from learning new skills. Learning curve with almost anything is steep at first meaning you can go from complete unknown/novice to intermediate really quickly (less than a year). Mastery for anything takes a lifetime. But if you pick up skiing, swimming, rock climbing, etc. you can get decent within a year - and you will feel accomplished for doing so
