considering the llikelihood that there is trillions of billions of alien species it would be ignorant to suggest they all have the same ideology?

Wouldn't Some be full of compassion, some just all about war and some in the middle?

Aswell as each individual of say 1 alien species being like humans? How Some r great n some r trash

Bloat fly silence had a good point actually about the scale

Some aliens would be microscopic, some similar size to us and some aliens as large as a planet or a galaxy

Chit is so fkn mind boggling

That's literally retarded. There's more gold just floating around in the asteroid belt than we could mine in a million years.

You throw around 10% c like it's a small feat. I don't even know if that is possible for a whole craft bruh. The fastest we were able to go was like 0.067% the speed of light and that's not from propulsion alone.

But let me take the huge assumption that this were possible and a civilization can unlock this speed, can you only imagine the kind of energy it would take to travel this distance? Especially if the craft is massive. Even with a drone the size of your shoe the amount of energy required would be mind bending.

Why waste that kind of energy to shoot across the whole milky way when they can simply build massive structures in their local solar system, feed off their star and prosper?

My point is, there is nothing to be gained in wasting thousands of years and using thousands of times all the energy of Earth's resources just to get here to hide in clouds and occasionally come down to tickle a man's butthole with a probe.

You know their planets and their adapted bodies could be a lot different. Maybe in their galaxy everything is different. They have completely different physical laws.

It might even be 2D in their galaxy.

on great enough timescales, populating the milky way is trivial from the point of effort and energy. it could be done with a theoretical von neumann probe fleet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-r...ing_spacecraft

but i agree w you, if you could colonize the milky way you probably wouldnt even exist in a biological sense but rather synthetic.

an alien is likely to look like a moon or a planet made of computronium having eschewed biological existence in some eons previous

How do you know that? You have been to every single spot in our universe?

Black holes for example are known to overrule several physical laws.

Can you bend the time? Or you have seen or heard about anywhere in our world this (as of 04/2021) could be done? Apparently around the black holes such phenomena is possible.

You should get your logic straight. No one needs to go to every corner of the universe to state that the laws of physics don't change.

And if you think that your criticism is valid, you are beyond help.

How do you know the giant monster made of marshmallows that shoots lazers out his dink hole doesn't live in the clouds? Have you been to every cloud?

That's basically your argument. When dealing with actual logical statements we start with small premises and work our way up from there. Science takes observations that have been repeated over time to get results. For example, we know many earth-like planets out in space, not because we can directly see them through a telescope but because we see the effects of their interactions with the objects around them. These results are consistent and measurable and therefore we know they must exist to the best of our knowledge. It's still technically a guess but it's not equal in validity to your marshmallow monster guess.

Does that make sense?

By star system do you mean they're living in our solar system somewhere in the other 7 planets? If that was the case and they have tech that is more advanced than anything humans have created then there would be very clear evidence of their massive energy consumption. So yeah there's a possibility that life exists in the solar system but it wouldn't be advanced. Advanced civilizations would be much much rarer than just basic life forms.

What I said there was a guess. I cant prove or disprove now that such weird galaxies exist. Neither can you because unlike ****ing clouds we dont know all about galaxies especially those that are like millions of lightyears away even from the best telecopes LOS reach.

But I can tell you that clouds are just water vapor which are mostly shaped by the wind which is result of horizontal and vertical pressure differencies and which is mainly based on temperature differencies of the air masses. Im not a meteorologist or some college professor, but even a child can know that weird creatures can not live inside clouds.

How much do we really know about the galaxies? I mean we still haven't figured out our own bodies completely.

maybe the aliens are the thing that ages our physical bodys

before millenia ago humans might have been immortal

now chit food/electric/stress/unnatural sounds slowly interupt the vibrations of our molecular structure causing to much decay to our bodys

our bodys are constantly directing resources to heal the above instead of rejuvenation of essential functions to not grow old

yes if they were that advance then they have the stealth tech that can camouflage an entire planets, there's a theory that earth is actually a prison where violent inmates were exiled from another planets

With higher technology it would be trivial. Even at sublight speeds all you would need are drone ships and some frozen embryos. If the drone ships find habitable planets they drop the embryos and use some kind of robotix to build a habitat and plant a bunch of humans. Literally nothing of value lost from earth except some nuts and bolts and jerking off in a cup.

Literally nothing of value lost from earth except some nuts and bolts and jerking off in a cup.
This type of expenditure comes at a cost. Technology also has physical limitations and it doesn't expand linearly. I can just as easily say that with enough time we will reach the speed of light and it would be trivial as well, but that's not how it works.

Also, you didn't address the energy aspect. You know how much energy it would take to accelerate an object the size of a building to 10% c?
