Holy fuk Biden is so fuking dumb. It makes sense to shift capital gains tax up especially if they make up a large % of your earnings(like executives that pay themselves in stock/options), but the entire point of having capital gains tax is to reward people staying in the market. If you give rich people 0 incentive to hold positions long term we are going to see insane daily swings and tons of volatility because there isn't a 20%+ reason to keep holding profitable positions.

I guess they are going to just let their kids or grandkids liquidate then cuz it'll never happen.

As soon as there is buy pressure GME is going to start unloading shares and diluting which is great for legitimate shareholders, but it won't squeeze again and they made sure it won't too.
