I use straps for high rep work, RDL's, and SLDL's. DOH for warmups until I can't anymore. Only use mix grip for heavy singles, doubles, triples, everything else is DOH or strapped, and I've never dropped a deadlift.

Only people I ever see deadlifting are people lifting 3x their bodyweight or 300lb powerlifters, I wonder why

even with a mixed grip your hand is going to slip a bit on higher rep deadlifts, kinda don't want that especially going a mixed grip. Better and safer to use straps.

obviously if you power lift you're going to want to use a mixed/hook grip for singles and maybe for doubles and triples
