I would be a pizza snob if we had good pizza. We typically make it at the house since its better that way but when I get lazy PJs is the go to. My sons like it plus I think its hilarious that he said n****rs in a conference call.

Absolutely. We do a grilled chicken spinach alfredo one that I always end up hurting myself on. Plus you can buy that really big cured pepperoni instead of them little chits.

I used to like PJ's back when they had their old recipe. I can still remember what the crust and sauce tasted like. When I was in high school I remember having it most Fridays. Then around the same time Domino's changed theirs, they almost taste identical with the exception of the garlic powder Dominos dumps on theirs. That, and one time my sister picked up a pizza from the PJ's right down from my house on her way home one day and ended up with a bad case of e coli. I could imagine that happening anywhere. But still off-putting.

We've got a bunch of small "chains" peppered throughout the state called Brother's or Original Italian Pizza. They were all transplants from NYC and rumor was they were fronts for the mob. Nowadays if they aren't run by local yokels, they're run by Hispanics. Those guys make the best pizza in my book. Each one puts their own spin on it.

For chains, I like Fox's. I think you have those in Texas, not sure how common they are, though.

Dominos is my go to for "fast food" pizza. I love their Brooklyn style. I usually just get light sauce, shrooms and extra cheese. I can eat Thai, Cajun, Creole or any other type of spicy food all day and long and be fine but for whatever reason spicy Italian style meats are the one thing that gives me heartburn and indigestion. At fancier places I'll get chicken on my pizza but the chicken Dominos and Pizza Hut use is fukn disgusting. Papa John's is good but there are never any deals so its more than twice the price. I'm a slave to efficiency and value, its just the way my brain works, so I can never justify getting it when the quality is so close to the others

How long have you been playing? I've been on a kick where I've been learning a bunch of 90s country and newer singer/songwriter stuff. I got a Seagull S6 and I loved it so much I found a deal on an Art and Lutherie Folk Ceder which is a 000 size. Both of those guitars are way better than anything in their price range has a right to be. Those French Canadians are really good at building acoustic guitars

Love the Offspring. I like that style of vocal harmony. Offspring, Rise Against, a few others.


Ive picked up a guitar to try it a few times but it doesnt come easy, I could never hang with it.

I’ve been using the Rocksmith guitar program. I had some experience with playing so got it to learn some songs but neither of my kids ever played and one of them got pretty good in a couple months

I played sax up until Jr High. The last 2 years I was just leaving the sax at school and trying my best to do my part in practice once a week in front of the band teacher. The music part was fine but if you don't know anything about a sax, or any other reeded instrument, it needs to be played several times a week to keep it primed. I was the only one who could do tricks with it but the teacher noticed my dedication and was relegated to the backup section. The next year my dad ended up trading my sax in for a Mexican strat (not to be confused with a Squier). I can noodle around with the guitar enough to sound like an average one man acoustical cover guy on a Tuesday but nothing more. Had a buddy who picked up guitar in college and he learned pretty quick. I never did. So I ended up maxing out a couple credit cards on a bass and it definitely felt more natural. Ended up jamming several times with a dude who's like Mitch Mitchell's grandson on drums and it was fugging awesome. Never could get it together enough to make anything happen. My bucket list would to be on stage once...

I've been keeping more track of Nirvana songs in the last few years. Gotta say man, the lyrics were a lot funnier than I remember back in the day. I don't think Kurt was as disturbed as he's made out to be today, and especially when you see the inconsistencies in his "suicide note" it's definitely more plausible that he was murdered.

I have a theory about any popular music up until the mid 90s. A lot of our favorites, ranging from classic rock up until the mid 90s, were inspired by their predecessors but also classically trained. After a certain point, pop/rock groups were just learning power chords and then given big record deals as long as they sounded good with a jangly verse and a fuzzy chorus. That formula's been around for 25 years...

$1.30/litre for unleaded. I filled up too, but I don’t even look anymore... I don’t want to know what the premium is.

Went and saw the CSM the next morning. There was a lot lost in translation between what he put out, and what was told to Soldiers by the time it made it from BN, to company, to platoon, to squad, to team, and then to the guys.

Nalgenes/water bottles cannot be carried in a pouch attached to your belt, or clipped to your belt, but can be carried in your hand or cargo pocket.

But you cannot bring a water bottle into the dining facility, nor can you leave it unattended outside (navy force protection rule). Soldiers barracks are at one end of post, dining facility is 2/3 of way across post, and most of their company work areas are at the opposite end of post. So Soldiers are just leaving their water sources in their barracks as they go to chow before work, and chow after work.

Working a solution, but it is still stupid.

Oh chit, you guys been chatty.

Where to begin:

1. Good BBQ with a good rub doesn't need sauce, IMO.

2. Wish I knew how to play guitar...or piano. Played Sax in elementary school, but got tired of carrying that thing home and back to school, so switched to drums.

3. Just paid $3.61/gallon (too lazy to do the conversion) for fuel here. Cali is typically $1/gallon higher than the rest of the country due to air quality.

4. Holy chit that plug rocket gif is awesome.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
