Spoiler!
Really though, Burn After Reading (more of a spy satire movie tbh), the Bourne movies, Black Book (I've heard this one was fantastic, but I haven't watched it yet since I cant find it streaming), Skyfall (best bond movie IMO and I've seen a ton), and The Hunt for Red October (this one is based on one of Clancy's most popular novels, and it is great).
In for more answers too.

Casino probably had a better story if I'm being objective, but Skyfall had the best villain in the entire series played by a fantastic actor. He's the main reason I prefer it.

Theres one where theres a boat full of people, and this old guy trains hard at seal school and then goes undercover as the ships captain. He sees a whore chilling with a peasant and he purposely steers the ship towards debris so the peasant doesnt have to deal with the whore. Its called the Titanic.

I don't know how I forgot, but if you want the GOAT spy conspiracy type thriller in TV show format, check out Person of Interest. It starts off formulaic, but then it pulls the rug out from under you and chit gets crazy (not giving plot details because it's legit a crime to spoil this show). The scope of it is insane. I guarantee you it will blow your mind multiple times. Also the cast, acting, and writing are all on point. The action is fantastic too. Both the main character and his partner (an ex-CIA agent living off the grid and a genius programmer/inventor) are alpha af. Lastly, the show is created by Jonathan Nolan (he co-wrote a lot of movies with his brother; Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Prestige, Interstellar, Memento; he also created co-created Westworld) and produced by JJ Abrams.
