Mind blown at how Carvana does business

Just sold my car to them for $5k more than what I paid.

Sloot from Carvana shows up and spent more time petting my dog than looking over the car

Didn’t even drive it, just started the engine then handed me a check

Imagine starting a used car business and not even inspecting the cars you buy

Carvana will go bust in the next bubble, theres literally nothing different between them and a used car dealer aside from a shiny brand, national coverage and unqualified purchase agents (fuking LOL at your girl checking nothing)

Their cars are expensive.

They probably write off the depreciation of all their inventory every quarter to "offset" losses.

They don’t give a ****. Some millennial with “social anxiety” that can’t even go to a dealership and look someone in the eye will overpay and finance it at 15 percent, and have it delivered to their studio apartment no questions asked.

I know a guy who knows the founders they are a father son duo now billionaires already wealthy from before

Amazing they have been able to amass that sort of valuation running at a loss since inception. Public markets are such a fukkin scam

Starting a tech co is the FASTEST way to a billion (outside of impossible/none odds of a random crypto)

I sold my truck at a dealership yesterday, manager test drove it for about three minutes and then made me an offer.

This is the post. Millennial and Zoomers hate any social event that might have even a hint of confrontation/push back (such as going to a car dealership). There's even an anxiety term for people who dont want to call a food place and order srs or why there is now an option on Uber to tell them to not talk to you.


The premium Carvana gets is:

- removing that awkward encounter
and
- seeming high tech/futuristic when it's really just CarMax

What I don't understand is the fact that there are a lot of people who sell their vehicles to Carvana... But I seriously never hear of anyone buying a vehicle from them... Do they just take their inventory to auctions? I legitimately don't know anyone who uses them.
