Tattoos are peak sheep behaviour, you literally brand yourself like an animal because some other guys did it and it looked cool. You're a human not cattle.

I associate people with tats with low intelligence. Retard that lives behind me had a huge tat of his wife’s name on his neck .
Soon afterwards she divorced him . Spent over 4K on laser removal and I can still see it plain as day lol. What a fuking stupid ass mouth breather

The avg dude with a tattoo is a total DYEL and works an office job, the tattoo is there to make them feel cool. Can you imagine someone is that insecure in themselves they pay someone to mark their body

Heh, I see funny sht at work all the time, one guy had a tramp stamp that said "labled Outcast", pro-tip, always double check the spelling. We gave him so much sht he covered it up with a skull. Another had the Monster Energy drink logo on his face, also see a ton of just bad quality ones.

There is one guy in a building I work on Saturday who can do work almost as good as mine, it's incredible since it's all done with a single needle (guitar string sharpened).

Not sure what you mean by where did it come from as you have clearly demonstrated that you have enough knowledge below that it used to be primarily associated with alt lifestyles:

Tattoos in "the west" have always had a taboo of some kind associated with them.

-They used to be associated with primarily sailors starting in the (I think 19th) century.
-Since them then they have also been associated with criminals.
-Going back even further they were used by many empires to mark criminals or slaves.

-Personally I always wanted a few tats from my mid teens onwards, I thought they were cool as fark but I just never got around to it.
-So many people that started getting them (trend began early 2000s iirc) made them seem less valuable to me, less unique. Also the type of try-hard attention seeking types that started getting them and their corny stories about their tattoos put me off even further.

By that point I think my frontal cortex had developed enough that I just wasn't impulsive enough to do it anymore, when critically examining it the cons outweigh the pros for me.

But to answer your question, I don't hate tattoos per se but to me it does represent a lack of critical thinking and impulse control, so when I see a girl or a guy covered in tattoos it tells me something about them instantly that I don't need to wait for other signals to find out. Like other methods it's not 100% always the case but it's a vindicated perception more often than not imo.

Well for one because it's the misc and the other is ignorance

Tattoos can either look trashy/like chit or be done in a tasteful/classy way and look fkn amazing. The skill required to pull off some of these is mind blowing.

Ppl hate tattoos for the same reason ppl get tattoos.

Ppl who get tattoos think it is a sign of rebellion, of being alt, etc. really it is just a sign of conforming and attention seeking.

Ppl who hate tattoos see the above and their form of being non-conformist is being anti-tattoo.

Same thing happened in the 80s - ppl saw how fukked up their hippie parents were and turned more conservative and it even led to straight edge and other counter-counter cultures.

This is true. I wanted to do my whole back when I was young and dumb. Then celebrities started getting sleeves and I was disgusted. Now it seems like only the weak minded get tattoos for the most part.

no lie that is some serious fukcing artwork right there. However it's kinda sad because that artist should be making paintings instead of inking on skin. Likely the only way he can make money. Would pay top dollar for that kind of artwork on my wall, if he made something wall-worthy.

I have nothing against tattoos and I've seen a lot that look really cool. But growing up I always associated tattoos with military, gangs, or bikers. Now I associate tattoos with young people who want nothing to do but conform. It's a trendy thing to do, thus making it seem incredibly tacky to me. Like I said I think tattoos can look awesome and I can appreciate the artist taking his time to craft something. But there is absolutely zero originality in tattoos these days. Also you're literally a walking billboard for the artist.

Because every kid is getting it nowadays just to fit in and be "cool". I'm not against it but there's no kind of art I'm interested in putting on my body. I was really considering it when I was 17-20, but glad I didn't go through with it

Don’t act like 99.9% of tattoos aren’t garbage quality and basic as fuk that dumb teens and early 20s people got to try to look cool.

****s weak. It’s one thing if the art is incredible but 99% of pieces suck and are retarded ideas that also look like **** when the person ages and the ink fades.

My favorite is my friend who got a HUGE cross on his back and is now a militant atheist. ****ing idiot

Also tattoos just don’t look professional. That’s just a fact. Don’t act like you wouldnt second guess your brain surgeon choice if they had their neck and face and everything tatted lmfao.

Thinking about the times I've had to do hospital coverage or other public interactions, don't think people assume I'm less professional due to tattoos... usually it's all the sht I talk that does it.
