the book (DSM) for diagnosing mental illness had 20 or so things that could be wrong with you 20 year ago now its got over 200.
our world is pretty messed up already so can we stop slapping labels on people becauase their personalities are 1 standard deviation off the norm?

Anytime folks try to start up with the psyco babble I tune out. Garbage. I saw a cool tshirt that had a picture of a barbell and it said "my therapist." I suppose shrinks need money, but I bust out laughing when I think about sitting on a couch indulging in maudlin feewings. The function of feelings is to use them to form an action plan. dasitmane.

My wife works with kids that have stuff like that. She said a couple of years ago that oppositional defiant disorder is the new "hot" label that put on kids who don't mind.
BTW is saying kids don't mind when they don't listen to adults a regional thing or is that across the US?

a couple hours in the gym is better than any therapist
plus my guy is an actualy legit medical doctor. like he gives me pills n stuff. he made me take a test for ADD which i KNOW i have but wouldnt give me a positive diagnoses for it. cuz i like my addderall and concerta a bit too much. (well mother fuker why gimme the test if it wont change your mind, this **** took 2 hours i dont have time to humour you)
ive been to shrinks before and all they did was shrink my bank account (why do people call em shrinks anyway? shrink your ego? whatever...)
so now i just get by on discipline and tryint to be more self aware and less impulsive

ive never heard that, but its funny.
like the little rascal is giving his brothers face the business against the plaster wall, and you just look and think "boy doesnt mind one bit, just look at him giving his brother the business)
i got no problem with rules, dont get my wrong here
what i got a problem with is rules that dont make sense, or enforced to the point of looking foolish.
and lately we've had a rash of those, so my condition flares up
anyway, i think a lot of people know what i mean. im not special or nothing or anyting i just hate the labeling that goes on. drives me bloody crazy

It's probably just a southern thing.

Like i know i shouldn't be breaking this rukes but i does it ayway cuz i think its dumb and it would LOWER me to listen to their bullchit and obey, like a good boy.
like cmon man, you tell me not to murder (you dont even need to tell me the important ones i already know about em)
but lets say...someone says no gym from this hour to this hour, and i think its a dumb ****ing rule, cuz theres no damn good reason for it.
so ill still go to the gym and the rest can blow me
if your rule dont make sense, i WILL ignore it.
Now if the consequences start to get bad then it becomes logical for me to follow the rules.
i still use the word reckon too
and i live all the way up north in Canada.
only word tht a bit weird for me is "fellow"
used as a substute for the word "guys" or "dude"
its not like cringy or nothin just...strange. if you use it to many times in a row i may burt out laughing. i was framing with a guy in Alberta and that exactly what happened. He was a bit of a special kid and he was always using that word. one time i just could take it not more he said fellow or fellows and i just dropped my hammer and belt and stuff and started laughing like i was high as chit.

How dare she shame someone for their mental illness. Sounds like a hate crime to me.
They got little baby legs that stand so low
you got to pick 'em up just to say hello.

Probably the dumbest disorder. People too stupid to navigate the world made this up to explain anyone capable of thinking more.
I think they define disorders as habits detrimental to oneself. Does this mean ODD makes you unable to make sensible decisions for yourself if someone else orders you around?
Idk if this is a wrong idea. Not everyone deserves power or your time spent listening to their untrustworthy ideas.
Psych b.s. is usually a power grab for people too weak to use material leverage.
Imagine trying to convince an opposing military to give up ground or you will label their pattern of thought.

Probably. only thing worse that insulting someone is ignoring them. they might go to the authorities if i dont yell and shout like im really upset and thus validate their wickedly sharp insult
