anyone a fan of DIVE BAR food?

i dont mean the really nasty dirty, bathroom smells like piss dive bars but just the dive bars where its mostly older folks with some pool tables and a juke box but also serve quality beers and have a kitchen thats been there for years that serves up some of the best burgers and wings, fried mushroom's eig city tc etc in town?

i live in a pretty big city and we have a few of them around.

any such place you and your mates frequent in your town?

Depends.

Most of the Bars like that serve nothing but frozen crap.

Sometimes they can have fresh/original stuff and then it’s a diamond in the rough. Like the places on diner, drive throughs, and dives.

Completely agreed, OP. I've preferred the food at certain special dive bars to 90% of restaurants out there in every city I've lived except LA. LA's dive bar game is wack.

yeah not talking about the frozen chit food places. there are some miscers on here ive talked too about good beers that know the kind of places im referring too

In my hometown there was a nasty strip club that used to have free hotdogs and popcorn. I was never brave enough to try it.

I'm generally a fan of food when drunk lol. But some dive bars so have really good wings and fried appetizers. Dunno about the quality tho tbh.
There's this one bar around here that used to have $13 prime rib nights on Thurs. Had it once(sober), chit was actually amazing.

I love a crap dive bar burger. Buns that were stale but now are soft because they got toasted, a burger patty with gristle from another burger that got cooked on the same grill 20 years ago, and fries that have tons of flavor because they're cooked in the same oil as the chicken, fish, mozzarella sticks, pickles etc. Top it off with a cold mug of draft beer while getting yucky with the boys and hitting on the local talent hnnngggg
